Ty Gibbs to the 11.

Depending on his Xfinity performance, I can see him heading to the #19 in 2023 or 2024.

 

In the next few years... I'd bet Denny takes himself and his number to his own 3rd team. Ty would get the vacated seat under a new number. Gibbs becomes a defacto 7 team juggernaut.

Also... I think in the next few years the other larger teams like HMS, SHR, and maybe even RCR do the "alliance" route with smaller teams to compete with said juggernaut.

 

I'd bet good money, if/when denny goes somewhere else, he doesn't get the 11. The 11 has connections with JD Gibbs, so that will definitely be Ty's number.

The future, much like the present, is a consolidation of resources, power, etc. There is an F1-style battle of the perennial dynastic front runner among a small group of juggernauts, like Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren and Red Bull, then everyone else --UNLESS-- they do something that will piss off all the owners and they do a HARD two-team limit per owner, like F1, which I'd LOVE to see. Pairs of cars sharing sponsors & liveries. A veteran in the A ride & a young gun in the B ride.
