What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

woah! youre rubbing there with 255/85/16s? Im only getting slight rub on my UCA at full lock and Im running the same tire size

 

I had a lot of rub with 255/80/17, CMC, plastics, finally got a decent alignment that helped a bunch, time for 34s now...

 

Installed 5100's, OME 887's, a 2" AAL and finally became a member of Tacoma World.

 

Nice to see another BI owner here. You think there would be tons of us in this forum for how much 4x4 Tacomas we have, haha. Kohala side is always a nice place to get away.

 

Trying to fit 33s in my 2005 Tacoma with a Jba UCA, 2.5inch Old Man EMU lift (no trim). What offset should I get (0,-6,-12)?

 

You know your iPhone has the same ability as the slope meter? Several apps that do YeH same thing

More progress

 

Took her in for an alignment today, as the last few off roading trips knocked her out of whack. While they were at it they noticed play in the LCA bushings and steering rack bushings. I just replaced the rack and pinion a few months ago and the LCAs less than a year ago. Damn truck is falling apart.

Meanwhile the NEW cracks on both sides of my core support (that politely went around the welded, plate covered old cracks) are starting make noise. Creak creak. All the fucking time.



Maybe time to consider a new core support and JDFab inner fenders when they come out to beef up the front end a bit. Or cage my engine bay like that guy ⬆️.

haha yea, you think there would be more people on here as everyone has a Toyota. And yea, I go out that side when I don’t think I can get another good spot anywhere else. Don’t go much now days anyway. Haven’t caught much fish out there but have got some nice ones so it makes it worth it. Got that one earlier this year. You go ulua’s or more a diver. I feel like that coast is prime for divers.

 

It'll be this weekend before I can spray them with clearcoat, too much rain coming in.

I've only got $15 in these lights, so if I screw them up I'm not too worried. I wanted to try these first before I start on the ones on the truck.
