Here’s what it looks like today. New leaf springs, new coil overs and rear shocks, new upper control arms, new lower ball joints and a shell. Now it has 266k

Yes, I’m super stoked about fixing it up. Fix the dents and dings, repair the bedside that got hit by the bumper and a new bumper, the body’s pretty minty.

What'd all that set you back? I just got new leaf springs on mine and I'm likely going to have to take care of the rest of it sooner rather than later. I'm right at 265k miles too.

leaf springs were $350, 5100 all the way around with 2880 ome coils were about $600, new upper control arms were $450, new lower ball joints were $100. Just about $1500

Alright folks I’m currently test driving a neighbors 2003 Tacoma SR5 4X4 Extra Cab, 117,000 miles. One owner, great condition. He replaced clutch, struts, shocks, new tires, bed cover, new brakes, timing belt. Kept up on all maintenance.

He is asking $14.5K for it. I think I can maybe get him to drop $1K. What does everyone think? I want this for hunting and to hand down to my son when he turns 16 in a few years.

I would see if the timing belt was done recently and if there is any rust on the frame, especially above the rear leaf spring hangers. I think for $14k you'd be doing pretty good assuming there is no rust. If there is, walk away. If the TB hasn't been done, $13k would be more reasonable.
