3.4L supercharger

My Emissions is the same as yours and I get one every two years, it not a problem for me

 

Was it the evap monitor that took so long?
In CA for model years after 2000 you can still pass with the evap monitor not set.

Could your state be the same?

 

Catalytic was what took forever. For literally no reason too

I have no idea what you tried or didn't try but I've had it take longer than others sometimes, really depends on how much highway driving I do.

I thought there was some specific routined outline in the FSM to get the monitors to be green after a battery reset, certain driving patterns/miles etc

 

Drive cycle per FSM never set it. Ultimately it was a 400 mile road trip when it finally decided it wanted to be passed

 

New plugs will be here tomorrow. @1997tacomav6 ’s recommendation of the ruthinium.

Amm my monitors are set except for my cat. which is crazy since the cats aren't but 1.5 years old. they look good not clogged. maybe my rear o2 sensor is lazy?

 

I had magnaflow cats. It seems anything other than oem takes forever to set the monitor

 

Hm, I have Magnaflows and a test coming up in the next month or two. Better not disconnect the battery until after lol.

 

Since I didn’t look super close, are the plugs on the driver side accessible without pulling the blower on the grey unit? Going to try and get the plugs done tonight

You can get to them no problem. #6 can be a little tight.

 

X2 if you have a magnetic spark plug socket it definitely is not hard.
I usually remove that vertical metal bracket that’s attached to the supercharger

 

Bad oxygen sensor? I've seen the cats take forever to pass if at all due to faulty o2's.

 

What do emissions have to do with the Haltech? I'd imagine it's a piggyback and not a standalone right? If it is a standalone then I rescind my statement, rather, question.

no o2 sensor was fine. It’s just the way these trucks test and the magnaflow aren’t nearly as packed with shit as the factory one

I just went through the same experience with my 2002, took forever to set the the Cat monitor. Got pulled over twice over the course of 4 months driving it with expired tags. I would pull out my scanner and show the cop what I am trying to do, luckily they were cool about it.

 

I had to get 3 1 month extensions by the time it set

 

I dread when every time I get that notice in the mail
