Got my second Tac-Six rifle case. Just got through putting a scope on my 223 Wylde AR and the rifle no longer fit in the case. Already had one for my Grendel and liked it OK. For the money, it's pretty decent. Also picked up a Pmag Gen 2 30 round magazine at the pawn shop for $10 including tax. Now I have to make it to the range to sight in the scope.

Picked up a Holsun yesterday to finish off the 80% build and short of shooting it yet, happy with how it turned out. Been a long slow project, only picking up parts when I could find them cheap.

What do you have into it if you don’t mind me asking?

 

Love it. I've done 4 now (P80 and LW), and probably shoot them more than most of my guns. I like that a couple have zero Glock parts. I mean that doesn't really mean much, but just makes for good conversation. My large LW all long slide and barrel, I can shoot 9x25, 357Sig, .40SW, 10mm with a quick barrel change. My 22/31 P80 just .40 and 357Sig.

Fun builds!

Key with me is watch all the sales at most ALL parts places. Kind of a pain, but patience is required as you state - AND then when a common part goes on sale - BAM, get 3. With my 22/31 I bought a surplus lightly used full slide and .40SW barrel police issue for cheap. I gutted it and had a buddy Cerakote it, then rebuilt the internals all new.

This is the guts of the higher cost obviously. I was buying the kits under $100, parts on sale probably $50 or so, slide well not that much.........and no green dot (maybe doesn't count)

So really don't feel too sick about it.
