Why would I do that? I already have the hardware, software, and tunes I need for my truck. Thanks for the interest though.

Sorry man I couldn't quite understand what you were suggesting, or thought perhaps you weren't understanding me. I take it now you're saying the tunes I have are inferior to those available elsewhere. Thank you for the advice

If you are running 2.0 you really need to try KDMAX or Valley runner.

Uh, I have 5.29s and 35's, stock tune, and have done over 90. But, that is a very rare one off thing. This shouldn't even be a concern because as far as I know there aren't any roads in this country that allow for those speeds(legally).

Then it’s like $150 for them to send you files and you can flash it. Or just edit your existing file and raise the speed limit. It’s just one value in KM/H.

Sounds like I just need to load the 5.29/33 tune after I get the install. I'll have my computer with me so shouldn't be an issue

    Hahaha! Sorry! :frusty:

I was thinking about the speedo limiter, but yeah. Although, you might try the 5.29 / 35 tune though. Going bigger with the tire size really helps with the AT. Great little global edit.

Ok now you've got me a little confused. If I used the 5.29/35 tune my speedo would be off since I have 33s, right?

The tunes can't alter the speedo. But the tunes were setup for different tire sizes to alter the shift points.

I may be mistaken but I thought the tunes tell the ECU how many revolutions per mile to expect from the tires which calibrates the speedo.

Edit: the tune has to affect the speedo. When I got the 33s put on and before I flashed the proper tune the speedo was off, and after the flash it's dead on. I pass one of those radar signs that show your speed almost daily near my house

Using a gps speedo, my 265/65/17 read slightly faster than actual. The math said 265/70 would put the speedo correct. My 285/70/17 reads slow as much as my stock tires read fast. I'm guessing the radar wasnt dead nuts on. Plus I'm currently only about 3 mph off at 70 according to GPS.
