Interesting. Do you know what the original wall thickness was? I figured around .125 -.1875 ish. But that would be more than a 4lb difference.

The driveshaft shop told me at one point but I don't remember. Probably somewhere around there.
Although this is comparing it to my previous DS which has a slightly heavier wall tubing in the front section since I had it shortened for my crawlbox. OEM rear though.

I would be curious on how much an all OEM 2 piece DS weighs to compare it to that.

Replaced my AC amplifier, thermistor, and pressure switch last night. Charged the system up today and am happy to report that I now have working AC!

Did some eyeballing and mockup. Still need to move the front hanger a bit more forward before I give it a loaded test. After it's confirmed right while loaded I'll french em in

Good question, I'm not sure. My guess is at both ends of the leaf it might be kinda squirrelly, I kinda doubt just the shackle end will make it too unstable feeling though. But I aim to find out here real soon, not a lot of testimonials online about em, it's a really stiff heim joint. I needed a 2' bar to budge em.

In all seriousness though, no I don't plan on it. I have a couple fabricated boxes I'll be putting into the the frame channels (kinda like the factory ones) that I will be tying a tube x-brace into.

I got a tint violation once years ago in a different car of mine, on the front driver/pass windows. Had to get it removed and spend all day in traffic court just to show the removal receipt to a judge. At the time in CA any aftermarket tint was illegal unless it came that way from the factory. You'd wouldn't think so with all the aftermarket tint shops we have around here lol.

Must be something in the air. Paul/Fab Rats just had his Tacoma ticketed for no mud flaps. The video dropped this morning, coincidentally. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQ2ZhtMda6c

Don't be dumb and try to help your winch out by taking the load off.... then stalling because you were afraid you would run over your own cable. It puts you on a thrill ride you will NOT enjoy.

I remember he was pretty chummy with folks around here. Some even in the Wyo thread. Figured he'd stay around a bit. He's gone the way of Jon, never to return
