Yeah I had to chisel the fucking clamp loose on my wife's lol. It was stuck on there.

After cleaning it with baking soda and water I coated the posts in that red battery post jelly stuff that's supposed to protect it. We'll see if it lasts

I've never once had corrosion issues with either of my batteries on my truck. First was an Optima and current ones a Duralast I believe

I only do AGM batteries because I can’t stand the corrosion. It’s so bad on the everstart in my 99.

Corrosion is all part of the game...

I have Odyssey Extreme AGMs in the Ford and they're kickass. Cranking over a 6.7l diesel below zero is no small task.

I probably wouldn't have bought them myself, but the broker I bought my truck from hooked me up. A day or two after I picked up the truck the batteries were too weak to restart the truck in a drive through line.

The gooseneck was scheduled but not installed yet so the next morning he picked up the truck for the GN install and put in the batteries. I told him some standard midrange batteries would have been fine with me and he said "it's not worth losing a repeat customer over cheap batteries."

Fair point! I'd buy from him again.

I think my last lead acid O'Reilly battery was 5 years old when I sold it for $50 with one of the Lexus

Went to Walmart and bought another $50 battery with it :burp:

The best winch is one you never need.

The second best is one that works after you haven't needed it for years.

Be curious to see how it fits the winch mount and all.

Since CV they've been too crazy. I just go there for automotive stuff these days.

They carry motorcraft filters and rotella diesel oil for actual prices. O'Reilly/Advance mark them up 50pct for an insane reason.

It’ll definitely get used every once in awhile, just to keep it moving.
I’m not gonna cut my bumper to shit for it, I’ll go get a 10k or something

    Oh that's for sure.

I haven't been to Walmart in awhile but last time I went, they didn't have the 40amp fuses I need for my Viair compressor.

I want to have an extra 2 or 3 to carry in the 4R.

Just take it apart, it gets smallish when all the extras aren't right on top
