My '14 FJ with 20k on the clock is worth an insane amount right now.

You’d have to be on drugs to sell that thing.

Only way I would even consider it would be an even swap for a new T4R.

Wow that is a crazy price. Mine is a DCLB Limited and I paid $21k for it out the door in April 2020, it had 71k miles. The prices these trucks are going for are crazy. Too bad I'm never selling mine.

I bought a used 2019 TRD OR double cab 5' bed w 18k miles in May of 2020. I use Carfax to record maintenance for all my vehicles and it will usually show trade in values. I never put too much stock in that but the trade in for the truck a year later acc to Carfax is exactly what I paid for it. Crazy.

If you're financing you'll need gap insurance when the market comes crashing down.

The thing that boggles my mind is that banks are allowing loans on way over priced autos…

I can’t wait for the loan default repo sale in 2 years

This may not be the best comparison, but a 1968 Camaro SS was $2500 and is now nearly $100,000 with matching numbers, restored or near original condition.

If my math is correct, I'm waiting until 2070 and selling my Tacoma for $1,200,000

    Updates to come...
yeah, the price is crazy - but as most have confirmed, not out of place. I picked up a '14 DBLC 4x4 TRD Sport LB 47k miles back in Feb here in PNW and luckily picked it up 2k less than this price (and before it got even crazier - and yes the taco/4R PNW tax is real). However, that price is inline for around here. As well, I could private sell my truck for only ~1k less than what I bought it for - probably could break even if I wanted to push it.

On another note - have you seen the "market adjusted" pricing on new trucks recently? Especially Pros.... :goingcrazy:

Both automotive pricing and housing is going to be hit hard when the reality rubber hits the road. Hoping to not be too bad on the housing side :(
