whats the best place to get the coil packs? anybody got the part numbers in handy? Im at 250k and doubt they have ever been replaced. I'm throwing a P0303 and trouble shooted the coil pack with no luck. next is the plugs. they only have 20k, but you never know.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Pretty rare for one of our coil packs to go bad. (It can happen, but not usually the problem). Try moving the coil pack from cylider number 3 to a different cylinder. If the code follows the pack, you know it's the coil pack. If you still have a code on 0303, you know the problem isn't the pack and you can continue figuring out what's going on.

Could also try new spark plug wires. Try swapping those

@Fernando ^ This ^ would be my next step. NGK wires aren't all that expensive.

Check your plug on cyl 3 to make sure it looks like a plug on the other side (color)

Possibly replace plugs (even though they were done 20K miles ago)... just because it's relatively easy, not terribly expensive, around 60 bucks for NGK double platinum (run those if it's not what you're already running.)

At that point you've pretty well ruled out spark.

The next step would be having your fuel injectors tested, compression tested, and look for vacuum leaks.

Sounds like it's not the coil packs. Wires would be first thing, they go bad much more often.

But here's the coil packs if you need them later:

    Hopefully that posted.

95 4wd transmission work in an 01? I know 03-04 won’t work but what about older ones. And I assume 4cyl and 6cyl both used the a340?

Yeah should be good. And am pretty sure they are the same auto. I certainly don't know of a different one.

I hate to say it but their front bumpers are hideous.
Damn near bought one for a steal but I decided on Shrock Works out of Texas. Glad I did.

I don’t like them either, too bulky and heavy for me.

but it’s like 25% off and looks decent, figured I’d share

If it was for a first generation 4Runner I'd be all over it. I've been waiting over a year for the one I ordered from Australia.

Can’t get my brakes to bleed.

they’re firm when I pump but when I stop pumping they go soft again.
Air in the system or leaking air in from somewhere?
