    Simple under one beer job. Installed Pak Rax aluminum tailgate panel and the soft close thing. Ended up removing the cable, I just can’t find a decent way for it to tuck in there. I think I’ll end up building a thinner cable since I really want to keep the soft open…my wife has been injured too many times lol

    I kicked the stock skid plate back into place after my girlfriend took my truck camping on the weekend. She swears she didn’t hit anything but the truck was making a weird noise!

    Looks good! Little game changer huh? I considered doubling up on this fine wrapped cable. But I haven't played with yet.

    For now I'll run with one OEM cable. The only time the gate will see any real weight is exiting/entering the truck bed tent on camping trips.

    That might help direct it a bit. May give it a go, but my damper seems to be thicker and there’s just not much room. When I got it all in there, my tailgate was pushed out a bit at that corner.

    Gave it a much needed wash, then i replaced all my lug nuts with the proper extended thread lugs. I should have used these to begin with when I installed my aftermarket wheels. All the additional threads give me a little extra piece of mind.
