Had an MRI few months ago and it shows severe erosion of the knee joint . Have a Ortho consult in December find out if ligaments are intact . Later this month have a consult with the brace clinic in the prosthetics dept to have custom fit knee brace . This brace will limit extension , flexion and also limit/ stop hyper extension

Yes, it was, the board decided to sell her to a local entrepreneur to rebuild this next time, museum can't spend another $500K and 18 years again.. We have the $5Mil expansion on the table right now..

That's what it was here when I got up at 5:30. I had a comfortable walk with the dog and am now going to trim some tree branches with my chainsaw. They are growing so quickly and are an impediment when I am whizzing around on the ride mower, trying to get the grass cut at breakneck speed.

 

Hello strangers, haven't been around these parts lately. How is everyone? I have been busy with side work and mowing the fields at the cabin. Step Mother had her knee replaced beginning of August, so Dad has been doctoring her. We usually share the mowing duties, but I have stepped up and mowed it all so far. Trying to ease the responsibility's off of Dad, but he is going stir crazy, I can tell. Last but not least, Baby Addie is doing great! Not much hair yet, but she is awesome! Happy Friday all and have a safe holiday weekend!

 

I watched a vid last year of a P-51 at an airshow in England, the plane was fresh out of restoration and on a 1st flight and it developed a fuel delivery problem so the pilot broke from the formation and made a b-line for the airport, he would nose down to get fuel to the engine then climb as much as possible then repeat the cycle. He went over a motorway for final approach and stalled then realized that he wasn't going to make it ( lawn dart..) so he banked/dove hard right and leveled off just in time to crash into a corn field. The GoPro vids were horrifying to watch, the canopy blew off on the first impact ( thought that the plane rolled/tumbled ) then the next frame was the pilot taking with ATC letting them know he was ok.

In an interview afterwards, he gave an opinion about ditching that made me completely rethink about the mentality of trying to "save" equipment. He said that the minute the plane developed the fuel issue and became uncontrollable, it was threating his life and that at that same instant, the plane became expendable. It made perfect sense.
