Any improvement in body roll/nose dive with these installed?

I'd say it's safe to assume it would be softer

Yes. Alot less nose dive and almost zero body roll. But I still have my swaybars on and billi 5100s with stock Sport springs.

I went ahead and ordered a set. I was leaning towards new coil springs but the thought of changing out the springs is daunting and I’m lazy lol… maybe next time… or I see someone post a set on the b/s/t…

Yea these weren't too much of a fuss to install. The hardest part was doing it in 100 degree heat with humidity here in Texas.

Yes they will definitely touch but that's not a bad thing considering they touch so they can absorb all the vibrations and small bumps before it even get to the suspension making for a very smooth ride up front.

I’ve been happy with my Sumos in the rear, I may have to get a front pair. General question, am I good to depend on rear sumos long term for the added weight of a bed rack/RTT? I don’t want to buy any more mods for a while

I can't speak from personal experience but from what I've read around here is that sumos in the rear are designed to help with sag and additional weight bearing.

yes, it would reduce the amount of squat from a permanent load. I’ve had the original rears (before they made the 3rd gen specific) and I’ve been happy w/ them.

I just ordered these for the front.

@hyrule_trd Thanks, I took advantage of the 15% off for the front Sumo's, can't wait to get these in and see how it feels. My suspension is stock but I do have the blue ones in the rear already and I love them. I don't tow my travel trailer regularly, but when I do, they really help with the sag.

@TheRedComet ...Thanks for the post! :hattip:i didn't know the front ones existed until now.

I just ordered a set for the front as well. I have 5100's Sport Springs and 10 ply tires. Hoping to soften up the front a little. I know that most of my stiffness is the tires, but they inspire confidence when off trail. Maybe the Sumo's will help.

I was leaning towards getting wheelers super bumps when I came across this thread. Now I'm debating which ones I should get lol.

I was in the same boat last month. I looked at durobumps Timbrens super bumps then I saw these and had to get them.

I forgot about duro bumps those are at a good price too. But I wonder if they'll be harsher since they're rubber.

Not SumoSprings but here is what the Timbrens rear active off road bumpstops look like in action. I think I need to put a 1'' spacer in there so in makes contact sooner... Also, even though it looks like it, the plate does not hit the strut. Seen the axle wrap is pretty neat too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yja409Lhk7E

The blue Sumo's on the rear of my truck do not touch the frame 24/7. Theres about 1/4" space between my Sumo's and the frame with a full tank of gas so my ride didn't suffer and stayed the same. They only touch frame when I tow my travel trailer. I rarely haul any cargo in the bed unless we're camping. My truck is all stock suspension but I do have a Lomax Tonneau cover, and a full size spare underneath (17x8.5 FSW wheel with a 265/65R17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W) so there's a little bit of added weight but not much. Hope that helps.

My rears don’t touch unloaded but I do have a fiberglass cap that ended up sagging so I put on hs 3 leaf progressive aal to compensate and then the sumosprings to help keep the aal from sagging over time. If I would of know I think I would of put these on after the cap to prevent the initial sag. I don’t have a harsh ride- most of the harsh ride complaints were from the 2nd gen version that made contact unloaded then they made a shorter 3rd gen specific version.

just bought the fronts with the promo code ($33 off and you get free shipping) after talking with a rep and engineer.
