Top looks like tapered seat, bottom looks like flat seat. But hard to tell on bottom one due to angle of photo.

    Thanks to all !

I was getting caught up when I saw lugs of varying lengths.
I wanted to get a set of the 4 Runner rims but needed to hear that the lugs and locks I have on my stock TRD Sport rims would work.

Can't beat this crew at TW

Just confirming that the first ones are Sport wheels and use a flat seat.

Thanks, but they hurts my eyes. Fugliest 3rd Gen wheels, and unfortunately, I'm stuck with them.:rofl:

:) Yes.... they are pretty sad looking.
With all the choices out there, why are you stuck with the ones you've got ?

Prices and availability to you west coast guys makes it seem like you could change wheels and appearances at every season ! ?

Oh yeah. I was ready to hit pay on some, but the veto from the Lioness of Finance was a hard one.

The other side of the coin is that the 4Runner wheels look really nice, either as shown or blacked out.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I found some local with tires and TPMS for a fin that I'm going to go for.
One rim has a nick from the curb but it's time to fish or cut bait.

I ain't telling my Lioness till the deed is done !

When I bought my Sport I said to myself, "these rims will grow on you, just give it some time."

The truck had sixty miles on the clock when I drove it off the lot, and 300 when the rims came off the truck and went on Craigslist..
I guess time wasn't on their side.

A caveat, though. VERY little of the factory studs make it through these thicker rims, and they're nut machined as such that XL lug nuts can be used, unfortunately.
I ended up replacing the studs for longer ones to get an acceptable amount of lug / stud purchase.

Now, if I can find 3 more guys like you I'll be in good shape !
Actually, this might make up for the one wheel that is dinged up....

And amazingly, you aren't all that far from me for once !

Nice ! I need a little more shine though....

That length problem was exactly what prompted me to start this thread...

Sounds like if you stay with factory wheels you don't run into that problem (?)
