Anyone have a SS lift on their Taco... or experience of them via another vehicle or a friend/relative's rig ? Care to share good & bad ?

I've pulled the trigger on a set of wheels and sightly (265/75r16) taller/wider tires over stock. They don't need a monster lift for clearance & fitment so I am hopeful that a mild kit like this 2.5f/1.5r from SS will fit the bill, without the need for other more in-depth mods and changes to shocks, adjusting steering geometry, fender mods, etc., etc.

Looking for any guidance and advice. Much appreciated!

H! Were you able to install the lift? I'm also interested on the same setup and would love to hear some feedback about it. Pictures would be nice also. Thanks.

Everything is ready but I can't take my truck apart until my motorcycle (1990 Pacific Coast) is ready to take over the DD duties.. and right now it's sitting in the paint shop (where it's been for almost 2 months!) due to a backlog of other jobs booked in front of it - and now their painter is off for a 10-day COVID quarantine.

When my PC800's back on the road the Tacoma will go into drydock to receive its long overdue re-fits: color-matched powdercoated rear (TJM) & front bumpers (TDK w/ Smittybilt 10k winch), the 2.5"/1" SS lift kit, new color-matched powdercoated Toyota faux beadlock rims w/ Falken Wildpeak tires and 1.5" Spyderco wheel spacers.

Rest assured, I will be posting a bunch of pics when everything's completed... whenever the hell that is! (SMH)

The lift kit, spacers and wheels/tires are on now. Put about 250 miles on 'em to date. I worried about ride quality suffering, but it's only marginally stiffer and more "truck like". The rear wheel hop that initially bugged me about this rig (in stock form) has been noticeably reduced!? Don't know if it's the suspension, spacers, wheels & tires ...or a combo of some or all of them.

Best thing is that by sticking with wheels that are still Toyota (and which are almost the same weight as what the truck came with), I have had ZERO loss of mpg - even with the slightly bigger tires! I was really upright about sacrificing one of the primary reasons for buying this brand/model. Anyhow, the Supreme Suspensions 2.50" front / 1.50" rear Pro Billet lift kit is running straight and true. Based on my experiences so far, I recommend them to anyone looking for a moderate lift at a decent price that doesn't require messing with steering geometry and other such hassles.
