I just got the 6112/5160s installed this week. I thought about 8112s, but that would have been overkill for my needs.

    Far to much money spent.
Did you have to put a diff drop on? Or anything else besides the 6112-5160?

With my 6112/5160, I had to do a front diff drop because I had around 2.1" of lift. If your cv boot fins are rubbing on each other, then you will need to do the drop. It's super easy you can do it yourself. It took me 10 minutes.

I'm sitting at ~1.5" so I didn't do the Dif drop. If I adjust to a higher setting when I get new tires, I'll do the drop and UCAs. I had 6112/5160s on an older tacoma and that was sitting at 2", but never had any issues.

How does the ride compare to the OEM offroad suspension?

My 6112/5160 should be here next week from shock surplus. I'm still looking into the aal for the rears. Also want to do the ecgs clamshell bushing as well

Your truck looks great and exactly what I'm looking to do to mine. Which notches on the front did you go with and what rear AAL did you do?

I was able to find a 6112/5160 setup in stock at Shock Surplus. Ordered 9-3-21, first shipment (both fronts and one rear) came yesterday. The other rear should be on my doorstep tomorrow. I am stoked to have found a complete set in stock! My plan is to go with either a 2/1 or 3/2 setup on the 6112's and stay close to stock height in the front, and only swap the shocks in the rear to maintain stock height there. After I get everything installed I'll be going from 265/75R16 Toyos to 235/85R16 Falkens (moved back north from OK, want skinnies for winter).

My 6112's didn't come pre-assembled, so I will likely be picking up a new set of top mounts instead of reusing the stock set. I am curious about compressing the springs, though. Are the home compressors worth messing with, or are they janky?

Thanks. I have the Icon AAL and to be honest, I don't even know what notch the front's at ... I told them I wanted to be around 1.5" and they did the rest. They said I'd need to bump that up a little more to fit 33s eventually, but that will be down the road.

Thanks, 265/70/17 BFG KO2s. I want to go bigger pretty soon, but my fj40 needs tires first (too bad the 40 has 15" wheels and not 17s).

6112/5160 with Icon 3 leaf AAL in a the rear. Sitting on SCS 17" BR6's with 275/70/17 Wildpeaks.

6112 are set to 6/5 for ~2" of lift, Icon added ~1.5" in the rear. I got my 6112 from ShockSurplus and sourced the 5160's off ebay. Installed about 2 months ago and love it thus far.
