we run 90 -120 bks per minute on casebound and up to 200+ on softcover. cartons run from 10 to 40 in a carton depending on book thickness. 2 cartoners at end of line. books come out of a stacker and basically you do everyother carton and push it threw a tape machine. I still go down and give them brakes.it can be easy or hard depending on the job.

Last night was much better. Had no problems at all but still was tired at the 5-5:30am hour. I'll get use to it. We've got a location/inventory issue tho..lol

Probably had a in-flight maintenance issue and had to land at the nearest airport for repairs

CH-53 Super Stallion  , I rode in quite a few of those birds during my time in service

I hated the flying body bags ... AKA CH-46's , nothing gains your confidence more than watching the bulkhead of the fuselage twisting during engine run up . I was in a CH-46 flying from 29 Palms to Camp Pendleton when we lost an engine and had to make an emergency landing

We rode the 46's into the USS Saipan LHA2 which would land on spot 4, starboard to the island, and I swear I could reach out and shake hands with the "Air Boss" on the 04 level...LMAO. Scared the shit out of me every landing.

And a funny story about the Air Boss on the USS Saipan. When I was a little kid, my mom would tell me not to "Look like a Rutter" (a poor family in my hometown of Logan Ohio) and go wash my face. Thirty years later, my chief told me to go up to the 04 level and see the Air Boss about his retirement. I did and asked him to verify the spelling of his name. He said "RUTTER" and I asked him where he was from, and he said "Logan Ohio" Did not register with me until I got back to my shop....I almost died. He turned out real good! LMAO

I’ll second Dave, holy shit! I always hated riding in 46s. CH-53s weren’t too bad, but I always hated the egg beaters.

A little of this and a little of that.

Yes sir, seems like a reasonable assumption. I’ve worked just enough helicopters to know that when there’s an in-flight maintenance issue, landing ASAP is paramount to your survival.

Good morning. It's a rainy morning here. I am waiting for the sun to come up and the rain to stop in order to take the little dog for her walk.
