Prasanta @vattarai brought his 2021 in this morning tuned him with KDMAX SLT. He called me later really happy but wanting to bump up to LT throttle. Will get him adjusted as soon as he can get back in. He is driving a really clean ride!

Highly recommend this tune for 91 octane. Feels so good with my 33s and stock gearing. Love the aggressive tip in as well. Thank you Dave

Joe @Vupoint335 Drove in from Nevada to buy my Mobtown skids and decided to get the KDMAX tune and ECU update while he was picking up the Mobtown skids. So he should have a really nice drive back home! Not to mention some really nice BEEFY skid plates to get installed when he gets home!

Thanks again for the tune, Dave! Had a good chance to test it out on my 90 minute drive home. The dead spot at low RPM's is 100% better. I no longer have to step on it to speed up a bit on the freeway. The low end power is now there to just lightly press the throttle to speed up. The shift points are much better and it holds gears when it should. My MPG's on the way home were normal and I definitely did not lose any. I will know for sure when I fill up again and do my usual driving.
Looking forward to getting more used to it and seeing how it drives on my normal work commute. You guys have created a great tune that was needed for our trucks. The drivability is much better and is how it should have been from the factory. And thanks for the free T-shirt. I will represent and let anyone I know who has a Tacoma this is a must.

FYI: I went with the LT tune and it is very smooth for how I drive. I may even try the regular tune at some point to see how that feels.

Are there different levels of how aggressive the tune is?

 

The automatics have 4 different throttle settings.

L=Regular Throttle----Aggressive, linear throttle, takes a gradual light increase to drive normal, will spin the tires from a stop if you do not ease onto the accelerator.

LT= Light throttle------ 1st thru 3rd gear is lowered 10% to allow for smoother take offs from a stop and low speeds. 4th thru 6th are the same as the Regular (L) throttle.

SLT= Super light throttle-----1st thru 3rd gear lowered even more, but still slightly higher than Ovtune 2.0.

Wife tip= Close to stock setting thru all the gears.
