The premade sections Ive seen look pretty good actually. Problem is they wont look right unless the fence line is perfectly flat/level which is why I couldnt go that route. Prices seem to have leveled out just a tad over what they were last year, I paid $5.18 for a 10' deck board. 2x4 studs are $3.50ish where Im at.

You could always do something like my idea and plant hedges/trees in front of it for more privacy too.

Lumber prices are still high here in AZ and quality lumber is difficult to find along with certain species like cedar and redwood. I had intentions of building some 30"x30" tree planter boxes for my backyard, but ended up going with cedar whiskey barrels for now.

I did pick up some pressure treated 2x4x10 and some 3" swivel and locking casters from HD. I ripped the 2x4x10's into 24" pieces and made 24"x24" dolly's so I can at least move the trees around as needed.

I was planning to do flower beds/gardens along the inside of the fence line so I had less real estate to mow

Honestly, I would just do the traditional wood post and slat fence. That's what I did at my old house, 15 years later it was doing just fine when I sold. There really is no cheap route anymore, everything's expensive.

The last people to live in my place did that next to the chain link. Made removing it a pain in the ass since everything grew into the fence. Also, flower beds just mean more plants to take care of.

Got sick of working on the floor and finally built a damned bench in the garage.

I finally got around to flushing my tankless water heater out this evening, but wasn't able to get the filter screen out with all the mineral buildup. Then I found some buildup on the inside which I was able to clean off, but I think a call to my plumber is in the near future. :annoyed:

Seems like plumbing issues are never ending in this house. I think one of those workbenches will be my next project.

First 30' worth of posts set. Borrowing an auger made that much easier than expected. Will have (part of) a fence tomorrow! Will be awhile before I get the long side done since theres a bunch of stumps that need ground up and its covered in poison ivy (as are my legs:mad:).

Dishwasher went on the fritz today, so I had that to do. Lowes had the same Fridgadaire Gallery model dishwasher on sale, but in Black Stainless. So, I got to figure out how to change out a dishwasher today.

best thing I’ve found for poison ivy is zanfel. It’s expensive, but it works.
    https://www.amazon.com/Zanfel-Poison-Ivy-Sumac-Cream/dp/B01KYKDPV6?crid=1RFE8JK9KFKB7&dchild=1&keywords=poison+ivy+treatment&qid=1630797747&sprefix=poison+&sr=8-6

    And ivy dry

Docs got me on the 'roids for the rash. My boss told me about TecNu poison ivy wash. Apparently it was made for professional loggers. I will grab some for next time.

My legs arent that bad in retrospect, I just want to find something to kill the stuff in the yard without killing what little grass I have. BioAdvanced brush killer did ok but didnt get it all.

In my experience, tecnu works for removing the oil when you know you touched it. But once the rash appears it’s never done much to help me. Zanfel and ivy dry work great. I usually get poison ivy a few times a year.

Started on bathroom #2 today. Girlfriend checking into the maternity ward on Tuesday, CSection will be ~2 weeks later. My goal is to have this guest bathroom at least functional by the time the 3 of us come home from the hospital.

So you bought the same machine as the one that went out? I did that too, bought a magtag dishwasher and after 3 years it crapped out, so I bought another maytag. Guess what, after 3 years it crapped out in exactly the same way. Learned my lesson and bought a Bosch. More expensive but it was working just fine until I sold the house. Put one on my new house, best dishwasher I've ever owned.

The previous Fridgadaire was installed new in 2014. I think I can get another 7 years out of this one for $500.
