i had some paintless dent repair work done, i was well aware beforehand that there needed to be a hole to complete it. I’m looking for a more permanent solution, i have a cap on it and it’s fine but i’m worried about long term. anyone have a suggestion or had this issue before? I’d try filling it with clay, put a thin layer of sealant, then paint pen, then clear coat pen. Idk if that’s the best tactic though

Kind of defeats the purpose of paintless dent repair doesn’t it.

yeah sorta, but i didn’t want to do bondo work on the outside of my truck. i’m scared it will start to bubble over time and i would have to get it fixed again.

Sweet jesus! Thats not paintless dent removal, thats a fucking hackjob.

There is no reason they should of had to drill that hole there. If they needed access to that area they could of removed the c-pillar trim and drilled a hole in the inner structure that is covered by the trim.

That hole alone will need to be patched and welded.

They could have pulled the interior trim panel and done it from the inside. Right on the corner that’s a tough one.

I gotta wonder if the body shop repair for that hole will end up costing as much as it would have to have the body shop repair the dent to begin with.

If you want to fix it cheap, but well enough, go to a body shop and ask them if they can shoot some panel bonding adhesive in there. Its a super strong glue thats used to glue quarter panels and roofs on.
