    The Daihatsu Charade sold here in the 1980s and 1990s wasn't any smaller than a Honda Civic or Geo Metro; The Daihatsu Rocky was about the size of a Geo Tracker/Suzuki Sidekick...

    I'd really like a modern rocky. I think my favorite Kei car is the Nissan March Super-Turbo. The only mass produced twin charged car.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Has a roots super charger and a small turbocharger. It uses clever valving and solenoid control to have you accelerate at lower RPM on the supercharger to spool the turbo, then when the turbo has spooled it opens the bypass valve on the SC to lower the restriction and runs off the boost from the turbo. It's never not in some kind of boost and it doesn't waste energy on spinning the SC if it doesn't have to because that also has an electric clutch.
