How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

My dealer gave me something like that a week prior to delivery. All mine said was In Yard which I assume was my region port.

 

Ask your sales rep for it.

 

Truck is in! Unfortunately and fortunately I’m in FL for the FSU season opener and don't get back till next Friday. So 9am appt next sat it is! Excited is an understatement!

 

New member, been following for a couple months now. Put my deposit down on a 21 in mid July. Aug 1st I decided to switch to a 22. Now just waiting for my sales guy to give me the heads up on their 22 allocations. TRD Sport SB wind chill pearl with premium,led,adv tech. pkgs. Hope I'm not waiting until January lol.

 

I’m waiting to see when orders open up (4Runner) most dealers are holding off until the production issues settle….

 

Be careful waiting too long. I spoke with 2 dealers here who said they hold reserved vehicles only for 48 hours after they land. May or may not be true but that’s what they both separately told me

 

On August 20th I Ordered a 21 TRD OR 4wd from dealers allocation. Gave them my cc number for $1k deposit when it shows up at the San Diego port, which had an ETA Labor Day weekend. Truck is being built in Baja on week 34, according to the vin provided to me. Vin still works, so based on what I have read here it hasn’t been built yet.

 

More like March/April. My 2021 is still in queue...for October now. Aug->Sept->Oct delays. It seems like the production on 22 can't even begin until Oct/Nov.

 

Haven’t heard that before, wonder if they were trying to not have to deal with the people who would stop in to see it if they saw it on the lot. I’m all good tho, appt is set for sat….

 

Mine was scheduled to be built in Baja on week 31 (1st week of Aug) and is at the dealer now.
I pick it up tomorrow.
Temporary VIN stopped working by mid August.

It’s now been 7 weeks since my order. Just wondering a few things.

Is there a temporary VIN?
What is the estimated build date?

his response was

“
Hi ,
Hope you are doing fine.
The wait time is indefinite - covid has really mucked things up! Keep in mind, we “sell” (take another order”) more Tacoma’s than Corollas!!

The VIN goes on near the end - we will know when it’s coming about 2 months before it arrives.

It is unfortunate, but it will be well worth the wait. I’m driving a 2020 TRD Sport Premium , and everything about it is really outstanding!

No temp vin = your allocation hasn't been accepted by Toyota.

 

If it were me, I'd be looking for a new dealer.
Mine wasn't "perfect" but I'd expect more than this.

Dealer should be able to get you a temp VIN if they have an allocation that is the truck you are looking for.
The fact that they don't have a temp VIN leads me to believe that they don't have an allocation for your truck.

 

This is the first time dealing with anything like this. What should I be expecting. If the truck isn’t allocated then it’s not allocated. This is the most trusted dealer in my area.

 

It is as if you never ordered anything. No allocation means no right to anything. Your only choice is to keep looking at other dealers until an allocation is “sold” to YOU, or you will continue to be wishing upon a star. Accept the fact that this dealer literally has nothing to sell you but a promise and a prayer.

 

Seems like all the dealerships around me, they all have 50+ orders. I’ll call a couple dealers though and see what they say.

Delivery window first 10 days of September

Hard to imagine I'm even going to be driving this thing after waiting seven months.
