Did the same, but I added BNC connectors, extra capacity battery as well as USB charge cable to min UV5R. The BNC connectors were so I can go from vehicle to ground mount easily.

Does your USB charger for the battery allow you to operate the radio while it's charging? I tried charging mine while driving and using the UV5r but it wouldn't transmit or receive while charging.

Added some sound deadening and insulation to the roof. I plan on doing the the doors, floor and back wall but the roof was a good start.

I did the same years back. It made the biggest difference. Then I did all the doors and back wall also thermal tint all the way around. Just need to do the floorboards. It all adds up! Good stuff.

The extra capacity battery has its own charging cable that goes from USB to a pin type connector on the battery itself and so far it works, just have to watch for the one you get, I got mine from Mirkit US based company that deals in UV series

I have an ADD one and I mounted it to my intake bracket. You might be able to mount it to the side of your power tray. That is how this one is suppose to be mounted.

This pic is going up a small grade been averaging 15-16 MPG.

Installed the 2TPAM that I’ve had sitting around for about a year now. Also a couple more black out pieces...dash and 4WD switch. Only thing left is the steering wheel controls. But that’ll be another day!

Yeah I bought a USB charger for my extended battery but like i said it won't let the radio work when it's charging. I'll have to try it on my X to see if it's any different than my R

Finally got some fog lights for my Allpro bumper. Diode Dynamics SS3 pro amber driving pattern, actually took them off my Tahoe just to see if they fit, luckily DD is having a good labor day sale so another set and on the way to go back on the Tahoe. These things are the bomb!

Still need to adjust them properly.

Its been a while since I posted (been lurking for years.. LOL :) ) but just did a mod today you guys might be interested in. Sorry if this is covered somewhere else on the site, I looked but couldn't find anything.. and the lights I bought had no Amazon reviews so I thought I'd spend $70 CAD and give them a try...

Just ordered my 3rd set of Clazzio seat covers to put in a 3rd Tacoma. They have 10% off right now for covers under $599 which suits my access cabs. If you are considering seat covers I STRONGLY recommend Clazzios.
1st pair LEATHER in my 2016 3rd gen
    20210524_211339.jpg
2nd pair PVC in my 2012 2.5 gen
    20210803_150834.jpg
Ordered dark gray PVC for my 2008 2nd gen. $233 SHIPPED.
Over $599 gets $75 off. The only area that is leather is the perforated center insert. The rest is pvc. After well over 5 years they looked like new when I sold the 2016. The bolsters, sides and back were pvc and they never had any issues. That is why I now go with pvc which have perforated center inserts as well. They look identical to the leather.

Got quite a few things done this weekend.

First things first. New beef came in :bananadance:

    DBEBDD24-9AC4-4007-BD58-0D68FE3A9B23.jpg

I was able to do my transfer case and rear differential oil changes. Need to drop the front skid to do the front diff which I’ll get to this coming weekend

I also painted my new toolbox drawer handles. Looks much better with the black and green

coming this weekend will be the front differential oil change and I’m going to hopefully soundproof the roof. Then the rust will be taken care of before getting fluid filmed
