I was kidding around but a new Oring is Ok. Those codes point to VSVs

 

I've never actually seen one of those pop like that. Now the question is, what caused it to pop?

 

I know lol, (sarcasm wasn't working well on my end.) I know people have said they've tightened/replaced the cap and cleared code but I'm not that kinda lucky haha.
Supposed to head down to NC tomorrow too of course.

*I'd been having some hard starts lately too, so I felt like something was coming.

 

Fuel vapor pressure switch and EVAP Purge Selnoid can cause Hot hard starts. Starts fine cold in morning but after driving and parking for 15 - 45 min it takes multiple cranking tries to fire and runs rough for a little bit unless you floor it on first crank or release EVAP pressure from gas cap before hot start up. The TB gets flooded with EVAP from leaking Purge Selnoid and vapor pressure switch stuck.

 

Hmm, weird, my cold starts are what have been hard/rough, for the rest of the day they seem fine.

 

Check for a Very strong gas smell in air filter box before cold start.
If the pressure switch won't Purge the Charcoal Cannister while parked and the Purge Selnoid leaks the airbox fills with EVAP. A pump was added to later models to fix this.

I know that I can't see anything but the sky when I'm driving forward up a mountain over a rock or bump and the front is pointed up. In those cases, I'm driving by a camera that is pointed at the trail. I can only imagine how dangerous that is in real life. I don't think the people who do this have cameras that allow them to see cars in front of them.

 

Does your charcoal cannister look like this ?

 

Can't imagine what they do to safely drive down the road. They're usually hauling ass too.

 

Got back last night from two days of wheeling with some absolutely great guys. One from Texas and the other from KC MO. One of my buds is a recently retired pilot that would fly like the video. When we all got together, I said you have the best electronics and know OnX backward and forward, so take the lead. I never know we could put a 100 in so many tight places. The other guy who drove a lifted LX470 on AHC brought a chain saw so we got trim up some trails.

Going back for more in about 6 weeks when the trees are turning.
