Coil Part# from Toyota is the same for both 2.7L and 4.0L Engines. Your coil pack for the 4 cylinder, 2.7L shows the correct mounting hole configuration that the 4.0L in the Tacoma needs.
Would it not just be a re-packaging exercise from 4 coil packs to 6 using the part you already produce? Edit: i was wrong, while both coil packs are indeed the same, the mounting configuration is also the same on the RIPP coil pack, and that's where the problem is, not enough clearance between the mounting on the larger coil pack and the valve cover on the V6

Water is definitely the best but I would be flushing all that water out every year for the engine or SC coolant. Metals and water don’t mix well over time. Regardless of a little water wetter.

I run Engine Ice in my dirt bikes and love it. But in my truck? I stick with the pink Toyota stuff. They are pretty proud of it, and it's long life.

The pink stuff is marketed as 50/50 with half being DI (deionized) water and ethylene glycol based coolant so you are running water wetter already. Sorta.

Does anyone know what Denso injectors are used in the Magnuson kit for a 2015 4.0? I ordered the kit over 3 months ago and now they are telling me that Magnuson is waiting on the injectors and still can’t give me a shipping date!
Surly I can find these injectors somewhere else.
I’m tired of waiting because I was initially told, “about 4 weeks out” on June 4th!
    Thanks

I personally couldn't tell you. I don't remember them having a part number. This style injectors are easy to find though as they are 455cc injectors. These of which they are easily obtainable on eBay in any color including the original orange that these are. Usually re-flowed.

Thank you. So, I can use and compatible 455cc injector for the Tacoma 4.0?
I feel like I’m getting the run around now and I’m not waiting any longer because of injectors.
    Thanks

Let me see if Magnuson will let the kit go without the injectors. Hopefully, I’ll hear something in a couple days. It’s the only thing holding me up.
If they will, I’ll certainly hit you up.
    Thanks!

Quick question guys. My alternator is crapping out. Battery light is coming on at idle. And I remember when we got the nst alternator pulleys some didn’t fit some people. Wondering what my options are? I might just get oem. But figured I’d ask here first.

I'd like your guys' advice for things to check on an issue. I met a guy locally named Ken with a supercharged truck (@Tacomaken1985) who contacted me because he is having the following problem. His only modification is a URD 2.825" stealth pulley. This is a manual transmission.

    1. The truck will be accelerating normally at WOT until about 3500-4000rpm and it suddenly feels like it becomes NA again. It still accelerates, sounds fine, no smoke out the exhaust, etc. It's a sudden inflection point, like not a gradual transition to being "NA", the idea right now is that it's being limited by the ECU for some reason. Also there's no lights or diagnostic codes.
    2. When he upshifts after this inflection occurs, even at much lower RPM, the symptom remains. If he gets off the throttle and waits for a bit, it's back to normal until he reaches 3500-4000rpm again at WOT.
    3. He has an OBDII scanner that's linked to his phone, I watched the variables on it (AFR, MAF, etc.) while he was accelerating. I didn't trust what I was seeing because the AFRs were conspicuously right on-target and didn't vary at all, making me think the device was reporting commanded values rather than measured ones.

One thing that came to me is the secondary air injection being bitchy for some reason - I don't have it on my truck since it's a 2011, but his is a 2015.

His mechanic is telling him it's most likely the supercharger needs to be rebuilt, but I don't see how that would cause a sudden change like this - it should be more gradual. Also he has no belt dust and his belt is in good condition (probably not slipping on the supercharger pulley). Listening to the supercharger at idle it sounds quiet and happy to me - although he says he could swear it's noisier than it was before. It's definitely less noisy than mine, and I know I should really get mine rebuilt soon.

I will do a vacuum leak test to see if that reveals anything, including a possible crack on the bypass valve line.

Short story long, I'm hoping you guys can give me ideas of things to check for. Given there are no other symptoms, I'm a bit at a loss here. The only thing I could think of was the SAI system making the computer restrict him for some reason.

    Many thanks in advance.

I feel like this guy has posted on here before because I saw a thread talking about symptoms just like this.

If he has access to a scanner or he is close to you and you can do it for him he needs to get his fuel trims checked out. I don't trust air fuel ratio gauges anymore for immediate diagnostics.

My money is on a failing fuel pump as I did not see a mention of an aftermarket.
