There's a joke in there somewhere. But I guess we'll leave it alone

Heh well... Once I hit about 1500-2000 miles, after "break in" it's been pedal to the metal. Now I take care of my vehicles, but they aren't driven by grandma. The mountain I gotta drive over kinda forces my hand at that...

I live on a flat plain, no need for any of that.

This little 4cyl 5spd race truck just begs for more throttle... even with a pedal commander set nearly to max

I'm getting a sticker for my Talon once I paint it; Loud Not Fast  I love 4 cylinders, but this one's gotta be singin' 3800RPM's before you got anywhere

I swear I can't win with this truck lately. The muffler just broke in half. Right at the manufacturer weld, not some Jimbob in his back yard with a tombstone buzz box weld.

While I'm trying to figure out my speedometer issues I know that 2500 RPM's in 5th is 55mph. I pulled out of a spot on a back state road and just ripped it through the gears thinking I was going fast. Got to 5th and it was at 3K RPM's... All that noise for about 60-65ish MPH :rofl:Your truck would smoke my car, no doubt

Second gear is all I'd need... stupid tall gearing putting me at 65 with top of second.

Start off in second and you'd still get me

Anything past 5K RPM's and I start hearing weird noises. Pretty sure the bearing in the timing belt tensioner hasn't been changed in forever. They changed out perfectly good fuel injectors for new ones and put in a pricy stage II clutch for 140HP, but skimped on the timing belt job...

I don't think my clutch would survive starting in second. I could probably do it, but it's give you a good ten car head start

While it's overkill that they put a stage II clutch in this thing, it works wonderfully. Thing just grabs no matter what, but pedal feel is somewhat light, it's the oddest thing. I've owned several manual transmission vehicles, but this one is the best feeling yet. Helps that it has as actual throttle cable so you are connected to it as well...

Being able to adjust my throttle response level on the fly is an interesting feature of this truck. Definitely took some getting used to.
