Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Ermahgerd I didn’t know that existed and now I want one. Kept seeing everything that’s available for Jeep’s and third gens, but I like that a lot.

Vids didn’t come up for me, but those look promising. I’d been eyeballing the Morimoto version but these are half the price.

Around 2 months ago i did the rubicon, the trip beat the truck up pretty good, so ive been stock piling parts to fix alot of issues ive had.

This is the first of many things ill be doing over the next few weeks.

Usually i wheel with a close to empty bed, only a spare and a jack. On the rubicon i had about 600lbs more, as a result of all the large drop offs i bent my frame.

Ive been wanting to bob the bed since i saw @EatSleepTacos do it. But i wanted a bit more clearance as i always seem to rip out my taillights.

So heres what i came up with...

I still have a few things left to do,
The ratchet strap im the last pic will be replaced with a crossbar to brace the bedsides.
Still need to box the frame and build a bumper
    And mount some brakes lights

I took 12.5 inches off the frame and removed the bumper that stuck out another 6.5 inches, so i took 19 inches off total and will add 2 inches for a bumper. I tapered in the sides around 3 inches on each side.
The tailgate is solid mounted for now, maybe in the future ill build a hinge for it.

Imo short beds look goofy when thier bobbed, but i dont think it turned out too bad.

Finally swapped out the trail spare. Went with Mevotech inner and outer tie rods this time around.

Also added some more Factor 55 shiny stuff.

Ha lol yep - with the 35’s and doing the LCA’s with white poly bushings figured while I was already in there might as well do a new rack and add the ES poly bushings. More preventative for the next 50,000 miles.

Decided to do something to the truck this weekend since shes been on the back burner for the last couple of months. Pulled skids for cleanup and painting. Also repaid some of my cracking core support with some 3/16 plate.

IDK how fancy you want to get with the tail lights, but IMO some KC rock lights would be awesome. Dovetail looks awesome. You're going to love the bob, I very rarely drag my ass on anything now, made a huge difference offroad. Went from a 25 degree departure angle to 46 degrees.

They look sick! I just hope the performance of those Jeep lights are worth all the trouble. :)

Id love some kc lights, but i spent most of my budget on front suspension stuff. I ordered one of those light strips that go under the tailgate.

How are the 7" lights mounted inside the housing?

Haven’t got them mounted yet. But I will give you a update when they are. He wants to be able to adjust with the factory adjuster on the housing.

They are a lot cheaper then a good set of aftermarket headlights for that truck. It was only about 80$ for the set of 7” jeep lights so might as well try it.

This stupid shit. The outer crusty layer wasn’t too bad using a plastic razor/scraper. ANY suggestions getting the under layer off would be greatly appreciated.EB79F07B-6B4A-49C1-ADF0-578FA80048B1.jpg

I soaked mine in GooGone and slowly peeled it off. More like pushing or scraping off with a plastic edge. It sucked.

How much different is it to fit 315s over 285s? Is it just more trimming? I have everything I need (I think) to install 285s (CMC, SPC UCAs) but now I'm thinking I might just want to make the jump to 315s and not waste time between. I know I'll have to re-gear at that point but is there much else?
Well one down side would be wheels. I have 7inch rims so Id have to upgrade those also.

You'll need a super aggressive CMC and then hammering the inner fender wherever the tire rubs when stuffed.
