I have 24k on my Wildpeaks. Rotated & balanced every 6k. They were great last Winter which was nasty. Good on long trips too. I'm expecting 50k out of these meats. $650 at Discount Tire last year. Working well for me.

Just put a set of Wild Peak AT's 285/70R16 on my 3rd Gen. So far the tires have run great (3000~miles) no issues. For the price, I think they are a good investment.

I got my Falkens at Discount Tire. Their tire warranty requires that they rotate the tires every 5000 miles but they are 45 minutes away so I rotate them myself. I understand the LT Falkens last much longer but I do not need the extra weight.

My AT3's look pretty beat with only 23k miles put on them. Rotations every 5k service.
Hopefully I can get a credit towards replacement like other have said.:fingerscrossed:

A friend of mine had the same issue with early tread wear.

That being said they are a pretty cheap tire for an All-Terrain $600 OTD I think I paid.

About 14K on my wildpeaks and like others, Balanced and rotated every 5-6K along with reg. service. No abnormal tire wear, No issues.

Their warranty doesn’t require the tires to be rotated at their location, I also do my own rotations and was concerned they wouldn’t warranty them but it wasn’t a problem. The credit is good for any set of tires they sell, so you don’t have to stay with Falkens, I figured if they are going to keep covering them I’ll keep using them. I do hope my next set lasts longer for less hassle of having to get them replaced less often.

To confirm also, I am talking about the manufactures warranty of 55k miles, not Discount Tires “tire certificates” that they sell, which I do not purchase.

Researching the different thoughts/perspectives of Wildpeaks and saw this thread. Found out this really brought about some good discussion about K02's as well.

I'm not in the market to buy new wheels/tires yet...but I'm kinda leaning towards to K02s because of Serge! lol

At 34,000+ on the Falken Wildpeaks currently. Handled another rough winter, snowing right now! Saw that Discount Tire doubled the price now that word is out, or maybe to cover "warranty claims". I expect another 20k out of them then perhaps the BF Goodrich K02s.

My experience too. Stock tires, the truck had the 30-20 MPH vibe. Put the Wildpeaks on and the 30-20 vibe is barely there but now it has the harmonic buzz around 50-60 that your mention. Smooths out at 65+. I know it's "normal" for these but keeps me from loving the thing. Always on the fence about selling it.

I have about 45K on my wildpeaks, this is not on the Tacoma, but my other truck. I have been really happy with them other than the noise, they are 5 years old so it is to be expected. Rotated every 5K at discount tire. I really like that place other than the staff working there think they are getting a job at Nascar.

Falken Wildpeaks FTMFW. I've had them on 5 different trucks now. I've had BFG, stock Michelin, etc. Nothing beats the wildpeaks for value. Never had a balancing issue with them including on my 3rd gen Tacoma.

    Duratracs for the Win!

Just a much more aggressive tire, and also has the 3 peak snow designation.

Yeah I just try to ignore it. Everytime I get the lift itch, I think about the needle bearing, clamshell bushing nonsense and more vibrations to track down and go tinker with one of my other toys. Maybe when these tires finally wear out I'll try a different brand , the truck will be out of warranty, and I'll go down that road by then.

I waited to do the 2/1" lift after the warranty, and regret it. Should have done it sooner, like I did with the tires. I sold off the Kevlar tires while they were new to help fund my awesome 265/75/16 Duratracs...

Yeah, tough to say. Other brands aren't quite as trust worthy or have the resale value so it's kind of a lose lose situation whether we stay with the Tacoma or leave. I do think there's a fix out there for these vibes like axle shims, different springs, 1 piece driveshaft, add some permanent weight to the back with a shell or whatever. I'm just annoyed enough with having to even think about those things that I might sell just to be done with it. I've been looking at plug-in hybrids like the Rav4 Prime since it'd cover my normal commute in full EV plus there's like $9k in rebates and tax cuts. Just wish they'd give me a plug-in hybrid Tacoma with a bit more rear seat room or Maverick and I'd switch tomorrow!

I never think about lifts since it'd be all about looks and at my stage in life, just my Pro wheels and Wildpeaks is good enough without bringing in the added dramas that lifts bring. I have a moto and mountain bikes for the real exploring anyways!

33" Wildpeak 255/80/17 are the current front runner, for my next set of tires as they come with the "must have" 3 peak snow designation. Unfortunately it only comes in an E Load.

I will also have to go to a 17" rim, as my choices in a 33" 255/85/16 currently do not have a tire that meets my needs. (3psd)

Really hoping Wildpeak or Duratrac releases a 255/85/16 by then. C load would be great, but not holding my breath!
