I have seen a few of these and they have full turn signal function, brake light, etc. I expected to find out about these by doing a search of the forum, but it came up empty. Not even anything in the "what have you done to your 3rd Gen." Does anybody have this? I saw an online ad from Rough Country.

Dont quote me, but i looked into these as well and this is what i came up with.

The turn and stop functions work by plugging into the trailor light hookup. The reverse lights have to be spliced if you want that function.

Once again, I am not even close to being a SME on this but thats what my limited research came up with.

Always been on the fence about these. I like them but 90% I see have bulbs burnt out.

I dislike them but for the same reason. A good half of the ones I see were wired incorrectly, usually crossing the brake and turn wires. I am not convinced that they aid in visibility or safety, and in the cases of wonky wiring, they actually confuse the drivers behind you.

I'm of the (highly unpopular according to TW) mindset that my stock brake lights work as intended and drivers can see them just fine in all kinds of weather. More lights won't necessarily make them look up from their cell phones.

I haven't noticed that, maybe I should pay closer attention. And you know we don't always get stuff like this strictly for safety purposes, it's because we like it and think it looks good.

Mine is from OPT7. Have had it for 2 years and it still works perfectly as long as you have it wired correctly. I bought a Curt wiring harness adapter to let the harness from the tailgate light plug in underneath the truck that way it doesn't look ghetto.

I have made a few tap sets for these. You need taps for brake, turns, park (so 3 taps there) and reverse if you want that. They do make trailer taps as well if your truck is so equipped. IIRC, you can get a trailer one for around $70 shipped?

This'll make the wiring pretty simple. Unplug the back of your 7-pin and place this in between. Then you'll have an extra flat-four. If the strip doesn't have one already wired into it, you can get flat-four pigtails. Only thing that won't be plug and play will be the reverse light.
