I’m a fan of the 9N after using it for a good day of work around the property. Widened/graded the gravel drive, hauled a bunch of firewood around, and generally cleaned up crap from the shop remodel to burn. Way easier than trying to snake the dually between the trees!

My Cub XT3 has a bad deck lift actuator relay. I switched the up/down and it switched the problem. There are no OEM relays on any parts diagrams I can find. Any electrical gurus willing to crossreference this relay? 5 pin.

    Evenin' all!

Even with all the rain recently in my part of PA, the trees have decided it's almost fall time and are slowly starting to drop. Unfortunately I haven't got my mulching blades on yet so I gotta make due...

Yards need a lot of cleanup. My friend burns a wood stove so I'm thinking all these limbs cut down would make good kindling for her... Fuel oil is up so I imagine it'll get some use. Time to break out the chain saw!

Have any of you found a good paint that holds up well for the bottom of a mower deck? If it makes the grass a little less likely to stick, that'd be a bonus.

I bought new wheels for my x500's deck and plan to pull it off, clean it up, and get a new coat of paint on the bottom before winter.

I have used the EZ-Slide stuff in the past and it works well for a little while but tends to wear off quickly.

I just got an 18,000 BTU mini split and I'm hoping I can use the heat pump function this fall to keep the house warm when it isn't cold enough to want to fire up the pellet stove or the oil boiler.

My boiler is a 35-year-old Pensotti so I'm trying to use it lightly to prolong the life it has left. It's running great and gets high-80s efficiency ratings, but my oil guy said parts could become an issue if something unique fails on it.

I typically go through 3 tons of pellets and one tank of oil. I think the mini split will cut down on the oil use.

3 tons of pellets? What are you heating, a stadium?

1500 sq ft ranch. I use the pellet stove to heat the whole house and supplement with oil when we're gone too long to stock it or on really cold nights where the stove struggles to heat the whole house.

I didn't think 3 tons was bad, most of the deliveries I see in people's driveways are 2 - 4 ton.

Unfortunately in both these houses the oil fired hot water system is the only means to heat them.

I do have one of these bad boys to heat the garage though...

Although Kero is $3.96 a gallon in my area now o_O Kinda hesitant to run it on diesel, either way I'm getting a carbon monoxide detector for the garage. Have some projects to do this winter and I want to be somewhat comfortable...

Those run fine on diesel. I have 3 that have been on diesel since day 1. They do not run so well on jet fuel despite saying they can

I have a 6000 watt shop heater for my garage. It works well enough to maintain, but struggles to heat it from a low temperature. I need to turn it on several hours in advance. I should get one of those to heat the place quickly, then run the electric heat on low to maintain.

I think I go this one on sale from Tractor Supply for like $200? I wanna say. Thing will get toasty in a hurry even in my 50's un-insulated drafty garage.

Been thinking about grabbing one of these for the shop so I can have air con in the summer.

I'm curious how the heat function will work in conjunction of the radiant floor heat.

So far I'm impressed with how much heat it puts out, but the coldest I've seen so far is 48 outside. A friend has a couple in his house and said when it gets really cold out the heat function isn't usable since the condenser will constantly ice up. The manual says it can heat down to 5°F. I got it mostly for the A/C.

They run fine on diesel, no issues. Look around for "off road diesel" in your area, no road tax so about $2.50 here last I checked.

Edit: Diesel may make more smell than kerosene, I have allergies and can't smell much so I have never noticed.

I will note, mine don’t like off-road diesel. They get clogged up. So do a test run before you go buying 20 gallons

that's wierd. Only thing added to "off-road" diesel is red dye. Not sure why anything would clog up worse using it over taxed road diesel.

Yea I was thinking of using just regular on road non-dyed diesel with the least amount of bio blend I can find. It might only be 50 cents cheaper, but it adds up. I only get 5 gallons at a time.

That is odd, I have run 100s of gallons without problem. Perhaps where you purchased the fuel had an issue.
