@Dr. Doom Says is correct. Cal Phillips was the original designer and one of the founders of 1up. Stuff happened, he split from the rest of the group, lawyers got involved, now he's making racks as QuikRStuff. The new QuikRStuff rack honestly looks like an improvement of the 1up design in every way, it's just really expensive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5FVVPlipd8

If there's any 1up knockoff out there, it's probably the new Kuat rack.

    Nice! Honeycomb?!

We were over in Steamboat this weekend, camped up on Buffalo Pass. The trails there are fantastic!!! I rode Grouse Saturday, that was one of my favorite trails of all time. Sunday I rode about 7 miles with my daughter, buffalo billys to flash of gold. Then I did a loop of spring roll DH and back-up, also a really good descent with a bit of a grind climb back up.

Yep, fun ride but that uphill sucks...

Steamboat is one of my favorite places on Earth. The only time it isn't wonderful is in the spring, when everything turns to mud for 6 weeks. The town, the trails, the snow, the resort, the camping, the fishing, is all absolutely top-notch.

I need to get back to ride there now that the renovation is done. I loved that place so much the last couple of times I went to ride there.

Always a shame hearing stories of a business split like this. Can't be easy on him starting over. I checked out the website and it does look like they improved a few things on the design. Also looks like they are having a hard time ramping up production due to the dreaded supply chain issues.

    Best of luck to them.

yeah, it's an improvement. I'd be very interested in seeing one in the wild and playing with it. I love my 1up but there are like 1 or 2 gripes about it. :/

Side note...took a tumble over the weekend and bailed off the bike incorrectly. end result?

well...i dislocated my elbow while going down. and at the same time, I noticed it and pushed it back into place really quickly. That felt great.

X-ray's don't show any damage to bone. But I htink the swelling is pressing on tendons and ligaments. Need to stop by an ortho and have it all checked out.

Out of biking for a little while. :( :( :(

no surgery thankfully. Not really quite sure of recovery time either. Gonna be buddy taped and splinted for at least a couple of weeks until the swelling goes down.

oh damn. I had somethign similar to my pinky a long time ago. It wasn't dislocated upwards like your's. Mine dislocated sideways. I promptly popped it back into its place and just gave it a ton of PT and exercise. normal fullr ange of motion now. no problems. good luck with it though! it's a pinky so you don't notice it too much but when you do it, it's frustrating.

damn got lucky there! I thought I dislocated my pinky a while back...left it alone for a few days but swelling didn't go down so I went to the doctor and broke the join down the middle so it was just hanging out there. I had to have surgery to pin the bone in place.
