IDK how fancy you want to get with the tail lights, but IMO some KC rock lights would be awesome. Dovetail looks awesome. You're going to love the bob, I very rarely drag my ass on anything now, made a huge difference offroad. Went from a 25 degree departure angle to 46 degrees.

They look sick! I just hope the performance of those Jeep lights are worth all the trouble. :)

Id love some kc lights, but i spent most of my budget on front suspension stuff. I ordered one of those light strips that go under the tailgate.

How are the 7" lights mounted inside the housing?

Haven’t got them mounted yet. But I will give you a update when they are. He wants to be able to adjust with the factory adjuster on the housing.

They are a lot cheaper then a good set of aftermarket headlights for that truck. It was only about 80$ for the set of 7” jeep lights so might as well try it.

This stupid shit. The outer crusty layer wasn’t too bad using a plastic razor/scraper. ANY suggestions getting the under layer off would be greatly appreciated.EB79F07B-6B4A-49C1-ADF0-578FA80048B1.jpg

I soaked mine in GooGone and slowly peeled it off. More like pushing or scraping off with a plastic edge. It sucked.

How much different is it to fit 315s over 285s? Is it just more trimming? I have everything I need (I think) to install 285s (CMC, SPC UCAs) but now I'm thinking I might just want to make the jump to 315s and not waste time between. I know I'll have to re-gear at that point but is there much else?
Well one down side would be wheels. I have 7inch rims so Id have to upgrade those also.

You'll need a super aggressive CMC and then hammering the inner fender wherever the tire rubs when stuffed.

Thats on the list already also! get it all cleaned at once. I don't want to have to go back and do it again so I was planning on going all in on that.

Replaced the plastic coolant bypass pipe with metal on my 2012 4 cyl.. also new water pump and tstat because "I was already in there".
Water pump looked brand new inside when removed at 190,000 miles.

Might try some MEK from Home Depot. I have to do this soon too, not looking forward to it.

Anyone found an aftermarket source for these clear gravel shields? The OEM ones are kinda spendy

Is the universal fit one or the one made for the Tacoma. Was checking out their site and don’t know which one to go with

If you wheel hard and/or have more offset wheels to clear shock relocates etc, then I suspect hammering the firewall won’t be enough….

This not my truck⬇️, but it is what I plan to do to fit 35s on mine. Since I have -38mm offset wheels to help clear my rear shock relocates. I got poke. Which means more aggressive action will be needed for the larger turning radius of 35s for me.

Why not do something like 285/75/17 instead? Same diameter as a 305 /70/17 but an inch narrower, which would help a ton
