:pccoffee: and Good Morning Porchies! Happy Labor Day to ya'! Nice breakfast, quick errand, pool, brots & dogs! And

Sorry about the wreck Mike - you're right, and that's racing, but nice of the overzealous driver to man up and offer something!

In all fairness, it didn't rain this Memorial Day. It's normally both. We'll take it, and the wife won't have to water plants.

Bucked up a fallen 110' sycamore this spring. Hope it's enough with leftover from last winter. We're probably not going to get out much, with the virus still raging. May burn more than usual. Also have some top wood I could split up, if needed.

    Good morning everyone!

Sorry to hear about the crash, Mike. If anyone can pull off the repairs in time, it's you.

My excitement today will entail cutting grass and putting a second coat of paint on the beekeeping space in the stable.

    Stay safe!!

Listening to a news/opinion show and they are saying there is a correlation to staying inside when the weather cools down to an increase in C19 cases. Stay safe.

Need to purchase grass seed today. My sister and I are going in half and half on a 25 lb bag of Winningcolors grass seed.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch! We'll take the 1/2" rain, but that stupid cluster took 4 hours to move through. I had to grill my brots with an umbrella. Load up for my AAL install adventure at a friends near San Antonio tomorrow!

Well, here was a Tuesday morning surprise. My Gentek auto dimming/temp/compass mirror has been going crazy on temps for a little over a month. First it was just like always near 50% current, which was a sensor failure the first time it happened. I got a replacement sensor from the (now gone) online company that sold it. Had to dig some, but got a complimentary sensor from the company that is Genteks largest distributor (where I got sent by Gentek), but that guy really wanted no part of a non-customer, non-warranty issue. I was happy to get it, but it was clear he just wanted me and my issue to go elsewhere. But the new sensor was the same. THEN, it started going all over the scale! 140*, 39*, 50's* you never knew what you would see! So, I went back to the original Gentek contact, and tried to beg some troubleshooting. Anything. We exchanged emails, and my trip tracking a few times over a month. They really seemed to have no idea either, and didn't have any info to send that I hadn't already done. Finally, last week, he said they think they have a solution for me, and here is UPS tracking number. This is what showed up today.

I bought my mirror in 2017; it's not in warranty, and I never made any claim I wanted warranty coverage. I offered to buy any sensors that got sent. Mirror, harness, sensor - everything. I think it might be refurbished, but no cares about that. I'll be sending some beers to Zeeland Mi!

Oh yeah. MY mirror must have known something was up. For the first time in over a month; it worked perfectly this morning on a quick errand, and even recognizing lower temp in the car wash!

This is my 60 year old project when I'm not working. Replacing all the rotted trim boards on my garage. When that's done it will be a roof tear-off and replace rotted boards on the roof deck.

As you know now, time and effort are now relative to what else is important at the time! I still got it fixed without black tape.

I use to see a lot of black tape.
It works until a state inspection is needed. Then some bitch that the light came on after you did the service.

Cracks me up the number of users on this site, with thousand dollars mods, and black tape over TPMS and other indicators. I mean, if you run 15 pounds all the time, ok.....

And they will spend hundreds trying mods to shut them off. It would be cheaper in most cases just to get it fixed..

    Good morning everyone!!!

Yesterday turned out to be a long work day. What the heck? Lynn and I finished painting the beekeeping area we made in the stable and then I spent about 6.5 hours cutting and picking up grass clippings - and managed to squeeze in a quick trip to our friends' to help upload a hot air balloon they are selling so they can take it to have its annual inspection. Started work about 8AM and put the mowers away after refueling them at 6:45PM. Had a quick break for lunch about 1:30.

All this rain and cooler temps were perfect for the grass to grow and the ground has been so saturated from all the rain that I'm tearing up patches of yard turning the aero turn where I've never had issues before.

I'll be wiring two new lights in the stable beekeeping area today. More rain in store this afternoon and tonight.

    Be safe out there!
