Echoing what the other folks said, the middle lane gives most options for escape. I'll also ride five or so miles faster than traffic to stay out of wolf packs though.

As far as tar snakes are concerned, let the road dictate your strategy and adjust your lane position accordingly.

    Nice.

If I were in the area I’d give you $500 for the pair not knowing if they even turn over. They are cool!

    love that app!

depends on the space on the right side or left side. Personally I prefer left off there’s a shoulder to move to and will move right as my turn approaches. If there’s no shoulder left, I tend to stick right but in lane position 1 so I’m seen but have ample space to move if need be.

Tar snakes, meh, no worse than riding center stripe while lane splitting in CA, stay loose on the grips and let the bike do it’s thing. Metal expansion joints in the rain, that’s another story. Or metal bridges. Always feels weird riding over those with the bike dancing under you.

I generally stick to lane position 1 or 3 and avoid 2 where I can cause of the catch all that it is for 4 wheeled vehicles. At least 1/3 is where the tires roll and they wash away any debris or fluids.

Two lane highway I stay in 1 regardless, drivers see me coming and I stand a better chance of seeing anything off on my right that might jump out of the woods.

    This

Learn other drivers habits in your area and adjust. Know that you are, for all intents and purposes, invisible so anticipate what others will do ahead of when they do it. Don’t ride in blind spots, don’t ride in a “pack” (meaning tightly bunched cars), back off the throttle when need be and roll on it when need be.

This reminds me, need to order my sound bomb…

Well, I got a guy offering me $850 for the pair. I'd probably bite at $1,000. I think I now have a goal of getting at least one of them going this winter. They're small enough I can bring one inside the basement and tear it down. Hopefully, by spring we'll be up and running and I'll see what I can get for them then. They aren't parts bikes and it would be a shame to sell them to someone who just wants to pull the motor.

I'm not a doctor but it looks like she's pregnant with a runny nose and covid. Not sure a motorcycle is the appropriate treatment.

68! It’s in great shape and runs well, just needs some cleanup and a few bits here and there.

yours looks great! Not sure if the license plate is intentional, but I love that, too

It's fun riding these roads not on a 500lb+ adventure bike.

This annoys me more than it probably should. I can adjust to the huge difference in riding position and horsepower but this just isn't right.
