License plate is 100% not intentional. I cracked up when I got it in the mail from Vermont. Random luck haha

Yeah looks like the expensive bits are there. Air filter box, side covers, rear rack, headlight, and a lever isn't a bad missing parts list at all for something 53 years old. If you didn't know about beatrice cycle already, dratv.com, you'll be able to find 90% of what you need there. Theres also a great group on FB that's surprisingly helpful and positive, Honda CT90 owners, plus you can usually buy the harder to find bits from someone on there.

Good luck with the cleanup!

How many times have you accidentally honked the horn on the Honda now?

It usually goes honk the horn, wave sorry at somebody, hit the blinker, turn, forget that the blinkers don't auto cancel, honk the horn, wave sorry, cancel the blinker. Repeat.

Thanks! I’ve got some of the replacement parts already (cables, side covers, headlight bucket, carb kit, wiring harness etc). The air box is damaged and I can’t seem to find one so I might have to get it 3D printed or go with a setup like yours and just build a cover plate on the tube pass through. Thanks for the Beatrice cycle Rec. I knew about them before but am poking around the site now.

I’m really excited about it. It runs and shifts great already.

Installed some shock tube lights today that double as running lights and turn signals.

Well I had my Grom swap for 2 years now back then it came out to 2800 that’s for everything labor included but since they are popular now u be looking at 4500 minimum due to these motors not available unless u get lucky at some tow yards that have a wrecked Cbr 250r or 300r sitting there

Before I engine swapped mine (put in a YX140 semi auto w/ e-start, it’ll do a terrifying 60+mph now) I ran a real cheap pod filter straight off the front of the carb. The rubber on the elbow just wouldn’t stay connected from being too old and hard. I found those carbs like a healthy amount of restriction and had to tape up about half the surface area of the pod to help get enough fuel in.

The little cover I made is actually 3d printed, but it’s just a rectangle with a hole in it, nothing special, and probably would have been easier to fab out of something instead of modeling and printing hah.

Was planning on putting it on my Africa Twin when/if I ever get it.

Just got an email today that my warranties have been canceled. So hopefully getting ~2k back towards my loan. But actually putting it back to the back could take 3-6 weeks..

    Figured I'd chime in...

Picked up this beaut a few weeks back. A '22 EXC 350.

Yes it's plated, but let's be real here, it's not a commuter. It's for connecting trails. Although I have been tossing around the idea of riding the 395 corridor (east side of Sierra Nevada). Pretty sure it can be done on 90-95% dirt. Hotels and/or a Sag wagon would be needed, lol.

That 395 route has to be able to be done on dirt. I’ve seen menonites driving horses on dirt in the valley before. Would be crazy fun. So much to explore up there. You’ve given me some ideas to start planning

I think I have one more year on the DRZ before I move to the dark side and do the 6th gear mod. I am riding much more aggressively in the woods than I think it was meant for (but handles surprisingly REALLY well) but when I do fall, the weight of it on me has really been putting some of my limbs at risk.

I really like that, but I think it won't work for me not that I looked at my bike again.

Got a busted signal and was looking at options. Fairly sure I am leaning this way:

I had been riding a 2003 DRZ 250 since it was nearly new. I bought it in '04 from a dealer who got it on trade from a guy who apparently rode it once, crashed, then bought a quad.

Been riding the wheels off this thing, and it was (is) a great bike. The kind of bike that's good for a beginner but with dual disk brakes, descent enough suspension, I was able to limp the thing along for a lot of years, and easily kept of with people on far more modern bikes (in the woods and technical terrain at least, lol). It's always been 100% reliable.

It was just finally time to upgrade.

Was hoping to keep it around as a buddy bike, but wife says it has to go... Understandable: KTMs are expensive, lol...

    That's my thought as well.

Years ago, some friends and I spent a long weekend out in the Mammoth/June Lakes area, did like 200 miles in 2.5 days.

Eastern Sierras/395 is one of my more favorite areas to explore. I haven't gone so far as to plan a route yet, but with all the public lands out that way, it's gotta be doable in the dirt.

picked up a tail bag and threw it on yesterday. pretty happy with the quality and storage space for how small it is. doesn't seem like it's fully secure due to the seat design, but it won't go flying anywhere as one strap is behind the seat latch.
