Looking for a source...

I'm hoping I am posting this in the right section, if not please advise me and move to the correct section.
I like going the DIY route for most of my projects for a number of reasons. I know that some of the projects I've been doing or plan to do are already available by various members in the classified threads and I encourage other members to utilize them for your projects as it may be less expensive and faster than doing things yourself. With that said, I'm trying to locate a source for the factory style plugs so that I can make my own "plug-n-play" harnesses. I'm looking for things like tail light plugs and push button plugs just to name a couple. I don't want pig tails as I have the tools and knowledge to assemble the plugs myself. I'm hoping some of the various kit builders here on the forum would share this info with me either here in this thread or in DM.

Not everything is available, some things are dealer only but a lot of stuff is possible to order pigtails for from the dealer. The parts clerks behind the counters don't always know this so call around and ask if they tell you no, though some things you legitimately can't get.

Your last bet is trying things like searching cor the manufacturer's logo name ir part number often molded into the connector and sometimes juat googling things like "12 pin Toyota plug" or whatever other descriptions you can.

Even when there's only 4 wires in a 12 pin connector you're still looking for "12 pin connector."

Molex is another brand name that makes a lot of different plugs for vehicles not just the 4 pin "molex" PC connectors.

You final option is one I have pursued the nost and that's going to the junkyard with wire cutters and hacking out whatever you need from similar vehicles and matching up plugs.

I fixed my A/C fan connector with a higher temp plastic heavy duty plug from a Honda that fit my blower motor.

Every Toyota connector has a 5 digit number on the connector the prefix is 90980

So to order the connector Part# 90980-XXXXX for me that was much faster then trying to source after market sources
