did some canning tonight. Piccalilli and some pickled beets. I’d have liked more beets, but these were a freebie from mom, so beggars can’t be choosers. I have a ton of green beans I need to do something with, I’m thinking dilly beans, but I’m not sure I’ve never made them before.

The wife has 54 quarts of tomatoes canned and some others sauce. Think she's going to do some pears soon. Beets are ok but sometimes they have a dirt taste. I've had them before with more of a pickle flavor and liked those pretty good:thumbsup:

I ask her about the door, she said nope. A little later she said she wanted daddy to pull the next one cause he’s a pro

That was my first time ever pulling a tooth that I remember, I always let dad do it I think.

As long as this took I couldn’t imagine 54 quarts all at once! I hope these beets will be good, just vinegar, sugar, cinnamon and cloves in this one, I’ll let them pickle for a while and let you know!

I've got TP and a folding survival saw behind my seat in the truck always. And pocket knife every day all day.

The TP is a product of growing up an hour away from the next closest town. Nothing worse than needing to take a crap in the woods in fall. Crunchy isn't what you want...

I don't think those would work left in the truck for the winter up here. It would just be a solid brick!

I have knives all over the place. Flashlights too, the cheap Quantum HF ones have been reliable for little stashes.

No TP but I do have a 25 pack of microfibers behind the seat sooo :itllbuffout:

Not much natural fauna to use out here that isn’t sandy or pointy :tumbleweed:

I grew up in Ohio so we got decent winters, had a buddy use his gloves once in an emergency. Nice gloves too, he wasn’t thrilled about leaving them behind.

Little bit of this and that
Yeah frozen pack of wipes isn't going to do any good for sure . Works well here in the desert where we rarely see temps below ~25°F even in the coldest of winters.

Can’t wait for this Smokey air to clear up so we can actually enjoy being outside.

Per the poll I always have a few knives floating around the truck along with towels and some other random stuff. Can sleep just about anywhere on anything so don’t need a pillow. TP would be what I would make sure to have.

I'll go with TP. The rest I'd have on me or could make do without. Been there done that with the no TP, bushes suck, using socks sucks, tried insoles once, that sucked. So now TP goes with me most everywhere.

No, usually all the same stuff but currently using up some substandard wipe that was purchased during the great TP shortage.
Pretty thin stuff, got to double or triple layer it.
