He also punted a couple of cones and didn't initially slow down as is required. I'm a Kyle Busch fan but I agree with the fine. Asinine driving.

Not really. 200+ wins across the top 3 series, 2 cup championships, and 59 cup wins says otherwise. A stark contrast from my previous favorite driver, Terry Labonte.

The best part is you don't have to agree with it, it still happened. Busch isn't the only driver to have used that medical waiver. He's just the first to use it successfully. Plus it isn't like they just willed him in to the playoffs. He had to make the top 30 in points and win, which everyone else has to do anyway. He then ripped off 3 wins in a row and got into the top 30 enroute to a 5 win season.

He missed 11 races and was named the Season Long champion. What other sport can you do that?!

That moment showed first hand how much of a gimmick the current playoff system is.

He followed the same rules anyone else had to. He was injured in a NASCAR sanctioned event and was granted a waiver that allowed him to compete for points. He had to get into the top 30 and win. He more than met both qualifications, easily. Tony Stewart also used the same medical waiver but wasn't successful in winning the championship.

But... he missed 11 races. He was only in the car for 2/3 of the season and was deemed season long champion. Yes... he used the rules to his advantage but does anyone see the problem here?! There was a great group of guys who raced in all the races and still came up short...

This isn't a knock on KB... he used a system to his benefit. Im sad NASCAR thought this was a good idea for the sake of "entertainment."

And again, he followed the same rules everyone else had to and more than met the minimum requirements. So, yes, he was the champion. He wasn't the regular season champion though.

I'd like to see some tilted logos like the Days of Thunder Hardee's car. We know it works with the current gen:

Here's another canted logo. Always looked good back in the early 90s:
