I've got some exhaust leaks at two flanges, figure might as well replace them all. Can anyone confirm part numbers?

90917-A6005 for the manifold to crossover x2

$16 90917-06086 Exhaust Pipe Gasket

90917-06086 for crossover to cat x2
90917-06057 for cat one to cat two and cat two to muffler x2

I've gone with felpro in the past and had issues, so figure I'd go OEM this go around.

Nic but why didn't you just use the OEM holes? They are right there in your photos. Could have saved you a bunch of effort. Every cab has the mounting points for them.

 

I can't speak to the V6 exhaust gasket PN's, but I will say that OEM for exhaust gaskets is the only way to go.

I chased exhaust leaks for the longest time and went through so many Felpro/aftermarket gaskets. The quality control on them is terrible. They would vary in thickness and sometimes diameter for the same part number.
OEM is the way. The design is so much better than anything available aftermarket for exhaust gaskets.

 

What holes are you talking about ?

 

Got my bed all bolted back on ,shell, carpet kit and swingout back on.
I think I fucked my tailgate. It's not closing right .the top sides are separated out and the gate feels like it's trying close while it's on the bed.kind of like it's positioned just below the top of the bed.I may pull the shell and lossen the bed bolts and see if it helps. .

Here's were the Shocks are sitting. I haven't found a place to flex it but I did hit all the big speed humps and jumped it a little. Didn't feel like it's bottoming out. The shocks are definitely stiffer than the icons I had before. They kind of look a little short.

 

Do you have bed stiffeners? It could be separating because of your DCU

 

I have some just not installed yet. Lol

 

That's likely what it is. The bedsides like to flop around and move when you add weight onto the bedsides.

 

they shouldn't be too short. But does look like maybe the mounting isn't 100% ideal. The tops look like they could be higher and the lower mounts could probably be a bit lower more parallel to the ground. probably okay for the most part though.

I think your gonna need to lower your lower shock mounts. Do the shocks have a 10" stroke?

 

What did you end up doing for the intake?

 

I agree it was hard to see without the bed on. If there not low enough I'll get them charged.

Yeah there 10" stroke. I told the guy I wanted them as vertical as possible. He said that he flexed it out and the leaves go slightly inverted at full bump. We'll see I guess. I'm thinking that they may have been too stiff if they were more vertical.

Yeah, when you lean them back, it impacts how the valving works, seems to make them ride a little softer.

In this pic you can see where the lower mount bolt is lined up with the bottom of the axle tube. Maybe an 1" lower than where your are. These shocks are 10" stroke. This shows it with brand new springs and no weight in the bed so it looks quite extended. Not the way it rides normally.

Here's a pic of what it looks like now.

 

Cut the stock fender liner to fit, threw tappers on it, should keep it safe till i can get a dorkle

 

Tonneau is painted. Too much orange peel but I’m tired of sanding so it’ll do.

That’s just 1000 > 3000 > Hard Cut Compound. Needs more compounding then wax.
