It was a pleasant driver, I haven't driven it in 12-15 years though. I think it's been sitting for 8 since

hell ya, have to do it in the morning versus night in az bc it stays 90 plus till midnight or later. Im up at 3:45 every morning anyways so i figured I'd get it done.

The lights from the parking ramada helped, and used a flashlight as well

That isn't really a thing on Toyotas since it's all welded stamped steel... Just look @Wulf's world's shittiest full float conversion

I was referring to the dude actually attempting to make it a driver side drop axle but only getting as far as mutilating an axle

It's not unheard of to flip the axle housing or replace the balls. FROR used to make billet knuckle balls too. At that point I'd probably be buying a TG housing, though.

IIRC @slander flipped a FJ front

Death wobble on the Ford is coming back. I have new tie rod ends and the like sitting on the shelf. one of the front shocks is bad which definitely isn't helping either. I ordered new shocks for it. I guess I really need to try and get it all done so I'm not sweating it as much during the moving process.

Cat shields are also working as intended.

Btw does the 99 on my valve cover mean my engine was pulled from a 99?

Yup, it's actually easier to flip a Toyota axle than to retube a Dana axle, I did it to an FJ60 front axle with my Hobart 140, a digital angle finder and a cut off wheel. Check out my build thread for pics.

Would I do it again probably not but it saved me 4grand over buying a custom housing for a 9.5" diff that I would have to modify to run leafs anyway.

As for the rear, buy an fj80 axle and run it offset and you avoid @Wulf s world's shittiest full floater axle.
