Glad you enjoy yours. But, one reason for getting a truck is it has a tailgate. This seems a product for those without one.

agreed, the step feature is nice too since it’s detachable from the table

Looks cool if you're unable to use your truck bed as a table.

There are plenty of times when I wish I had more table space than just my tailgate. Like when I'm cooking for a group rather than just my wife and I. I like the step feature too. Haven't looked at the price yet though lol, but from what I'm reading its steep.

Same. Those responses seem strange to me. Pretty much every trip I've ever been on in my truck I very quickly run out of space on my tailgate and want more room.

But like the others, I love the idea, just not so keen on the price. But hey, I'm cheap!

Cool? Why not use a normal folding table? Then you can set it at any height you want rather than your tire size dictating it? Seems like it'd be annoying to have to bend over to use the table at that height for any kind of cooking or food prep.

Is there any advantage over a regular folding table? A regular folding table is obviously more versatile.

/shrug I'd prolly put something like the cooler, or the bin with my kitchen shit on it. It wouldn't be a work area.

Currently I have 1-2 folding tables that I bring (depending on what we're doing) and honestly, I hate setting them up. If this is quicker and easier, I say why not? (aside from the price) There's also the fact that you don't need a perfectly level area to have a level table surface, as it only has one leg. I've been searching for a while now for a fold up table with independently adjustable legs but haven't quite found anything that meets all my criteria. We camp in a lot of back country spots where space is at a premium and we don't always get a level area large enough to suit our truck AND our camping accessories.

A little off topic but related in the sense that I want to minimize setup and teardown time, its kind of the same reason I want the iKamper mini RTT. Right now we have the Smittybilt one (cuz I got a screaming deal), and setup and teardown is like 3-5min /5-7min for two people in great weather, whereas the iKamper is like 1.5min / 2min respectively. We camp in shitty weather more often than not, so minimizing setup and teardown is a big deal to me.

All that said, it's kinda like what they say about backpacking: HYOH (hike your own hike). I guess in truck camping its like...TCYOTC? lol idk.

Thought it was going to be silly but that's actually kinda clever, especially with the integrated step.

I figure it's got to cause vibrations going down the road though.
