I rolled over 26k on my way to work with a 2020. If I had my 2011, I'd be around 230k now.

Hit 200k in my 10' Taco last week. I like it better and drives better than when I was at 60k. (Bought it used) something about it being paid off makes it drive that much smoother

My 98 LC only has a measly 249k. It's basically new besides the leather seats needing replacement.

I have mine down for a windsheild right now. Honestly if a clean 2017 comes up I'd trade. Fucking nanny shit means they have to recalibrate the windshield shenanigans every time. And I have a feeling it won't be my last windshield.

You can't get a newer build without the nanny B.S.? My '19 doesn't have any of that crap but it obviously doesn't have the Toyota emblem on it either...

Nope. Base model Tacoma 2018 and up has had the full suite.

Before I owned - I wanted the adaptive cruise. Now that I own, I DO use it, and I DO really like it, but would be perfectly fine without it - and if that means not dealing with calibration all the time when I do a windshield (gravel road warrior yee haw!) then it would be worth it. Plus I could get one of them sexy blues instead of my contractor white

But we'll see. I'll keep an eye out but in RI I would have to pay sales tax on it regardless of my trade in. If that wasn't the case I'd be there today. But with trucks in RI it doesn't deduct from the sale value for tax reasons, so I'd still be shafted.

Huh? Why on the windshield makes it un-drivable?

When I was looking everywhere said avoid the 2016's, in hindsight I'm glad I didn't listen lol. Didn't know the newer ones came with the nanny suite and I'm sure glad I dodged that, plus my truck has been rock solid the entire time I've owned it and I've been less than kind to it...plus blazing blue is the best blue :D

once the dealership gets the ball rolling on a 4Runner I want, I may have a low mileage 17 manual transmission available.

AT is for me. I can do standards but meh. I like to be lazy if I'm honest.

PS I was in OOB for dinner Monday. Perfect. ... Guess who is closed on Mondays. some day I will get there. I don't have any more trips planned up there this year though. Maybe NMW March/April.

16s had some issues. 17s were decent. 18s had some issues plus the nannies. 19s were solid. 20 and 21 are great with Android and all that jazz. But honestly if I'm down for a couple days every year and they can't do the windshield on site it's TBD. Next time I probably won't go through Safelite either. I'll find someone I can bring my bike in the bed to work and pedal the last 1/4 mile or something.

I know who is closed on Mondays, they got so busy they needed to close so everyone could rest a day. Some night this summer it was an hour wait for pick up.

I did Roccos. Between 4th and labor day he does not rest. Before and after he might here and there. But he's there at 9-10 depending on the deliveries for the day and works until 1:30-2. Takes a few brakes during the day. But overall he's a machine. But it's only for realistically two months. I was up Thursday night the 2nd or whatever and they were closing up shop around 10.

I forget quickly how fast it gets so deserted and how depressing it is to be there on your own. Pier or swick for a beer or two with friends or my wife is one thing. Swinging by to see my old stomping grounds and grabbing a beer on my own it's just lonely  I miss it but don't regret leaving.

Anyways. @Scott17818 we missed you up there! Was a fun trip. It was the first time I went down the tram at the trains. We skipped B52 and ironworks though in favor of a last minute idea to do Mt Washington.

I hadn't taken the woods from caribou before. We got to Ashland and then went in - didn't go all the way to PI/caribou. I think next time we'll do milinocket and take some different roads. Scouted a bunch of campsites for next time.

@Ferball let me know how your routes look. Did you ever get out to caribou? I guarantee we didn't take the right route. We took the direct route which included some bushwhacking that I highly doubt is the "right" way. I'm going to put together a Gaia folder of all the roads though and start marking routes color coded

Carnage wasn't bad all things considered. One windshield chipped very early on. My windshield cracked because of my own stupidity. My license plate light got nuked. But no long lasting pin stripes and my windshield was already needing to be replaced from a rock on the highway. And the Xterra blew out a bilstein 5100. That stupid circlip didn't hold and he was screwed. Ended up finding the clip and hammering it back to size and then fitting a piece of PVC we just happened to have with us as a secondary support. Joke was "hell man you improved it!" And I got a flat tire (fortunately it was me, a few didn't even have spares o_O) from a rock not even a damn snowmobile spike. Plugged it at camp and good to go.

Sorry I started talking NMW trip at random. Highly recommend Chase lights and go with people who really know it. I "knew" it and Ross planned some routes. We borked the whole plan Friday morning at breakfast when we decided to hit the caribou leg instead anyway but worth it - at least once.
