Hey people, I'm waiting for my 2021 Sport in Barcelona Red to come in, in Oct.
    I'm trying to decide what I am going to do cosmetically so here's a list of what I've thought about;
    Debadging
    Blackout badging
    New sport door badge
    Trd Pro hood scoop decal
New led fog lights, square, dark, yellow...
    Different bed decal
    Raptor lights
    Step bars, step tubes, step....
    Hard folding tonneau cover

I have ordered with it the TRD suspension, TRD exhaust.
I've also ordered from a different dealer TRD wheels and will probably buy Falken Wildpeaks

Any ideas you have and possibly any pictures with them that you could share would be appreciated. Also the brand and where you purchased them.

Of course the more Barcelona Red pics the better.

Thanks in advance for your time :)

    Here you go.

Just after Wildpeaks with a rollup tonneau:

Not long after with a Softopper:
    IMG_20191103_083754.jpg

Now, with a 1.5in lift, maintaining a 1.5in rake for hauling:

I highly recommend yellow fogs with LED retrofits for use in fog:

Nice ! It's all debadged. How did you debadge it ?
That lift made a huge difference! Not that it didn't look good before lol
What made you decide to go with a roll up tonneau cover ?

    Thanks!

Yes. I am a serial debadger. I've barely restrain myself from doing it to others.

I just hit them with a heat gun for a few seconds and pulled. The backing came up with a bit of work. The bed stickers were the worst as both of mine tore in several places but worth the effort.

Hahaha! The stock leafs were sagged out. I wanted to keep it at stock height, but the Icon RXT packs put me up 1.5in, so I went with it. Worth it also.

I was initially debating between a soft topper and a tonneau, so I got the rollup tonneau as least expensive dry storage. It worked great, but was a minor pain to deal with and difficult to use the whole bed.

Then, wedge campers became a thing (GFC, Drifter, etc.). I held out for a while, but prices and lead times went nuts. I then looked at hard shell canopies, got sticker shock, and had no place to store one off the Taco. Finally, I realized that a Softopper was everything that I really needed, which as proven true in past couple years.

Thanks ! Did you just look that stuff up or is that what you have ?
Those bed decals are what I had in mind.
I'll have to look up the rest later.

Any consideration for an aftermarket grille? Or is the stock one all good? I got tired of the shiny braces on my 2016 and dipped it first. Then swapped it with a BAMF Eco one that in quite happy with.

Otherwise, yanked off the air dam, put on TRD wheels months after I got it, Magnaflow cat back, MESO LED lights (interior though) and RockBlokz mudflaps. All have about 80K on them now. Minus the new grill.

I’m considering a soft topper myself after shoving way too much stuff into our Subaru for this last trip. Would have been much easier to take the truck!

I'm a big fan of the derp'ed Cheese Grater. The newer Tacos are pretty good from the factory, IMO, other than the wish that they would have a tighter mesh. I believe even the outer ring is black now?

Pro grille, Black SEMA wheels, air dam delete. Rear Blue Sumo springs. Front Timbren Active off road bump stops. Bilstein 5100s front and rear.
Mudflaps from tufskinz. I'm still on the fence about these in particular I'm wearing them for a while and see how I feel.

Don't do LED bulbs in the halogen fog housings, or cheapo Amazon lights. Get actual performance upgrades, like the SS3 from Diode Dynamics. Check the thread reviews here, but the top 3 contenders are all SS3 (sport, pro, max). They're SAE compliant, legal to use on the street.

Oh and they're still on Labor Day sale. I suggest getting them from @memario1214 for the best deal!

Love that grille ! Since I'm getting the TRD suspension installed it comes with the Pro grille which I prefer over stock. Now I might like that one more lol
They don't come with mud flaps as stock ?
Man that thing is packed ! Lol

I like that black badging ! Do you have any on the side ? I see you took the decal off the bed. I'm not sure what to do there. I almost need a few Tacoma's done up differently lol

I'm not sure what color to do the fog lights. You wouldn't do led's for fog lights, why ?

Selective yellow is best for actual fog and inclement weather use, as it produces less glare and reflection of airborne particles.

LEDs do not belong in halogen housings. They cannot reproduce the tiny light source that a halogen filament does, which is required for the correct focal point in the housing. The optics are effectively destroyed as it allows stray glare that affects oncoming traffic.

If you insist on upgrading, you may as well spend the money on legitimate, SAE compliant lights. Amazon cheapo lights are universally terrible and are often not fog lights at all.

All of this info is in the thread I've linked above.
