Have you played around with iMovie? I'm sure there's a Windows equivalent...makes cutting video/pics together into a single movie pretty easy. Though it can be time consuming, I've dabbled in video editing but I think people that do it professionally for a living are a special breed, lol. they have my respect

Shows how long its been since I've done any kind of editing on a Windows machine lol.

We use Premier and Final Cut at work, both those programs can go right to hell. Though if you want to submit to the Sundance Film Festival its the way to go

I am inclined to agree, in the last 5 or so years its been nothing but problems with Apple, and for what you pay it's ridiculous.

Though that's what they provide here at work so I stick with it. At home though I doubt I'll ever buy Mac again, last two shit the bed within a few years of being new. Can't justify that price tag.

I did a bit of video editing in my youth so I could probably help the guy above out, but I don't care to relearn a professional program. It's really not that difficult though if you have a few hours on a weekend to kill.

I haven't looked into it. I guess I should. I can stare at an image or vector graphic for hours until I get right. But video, I just haven't had the exposure.

I see one of our Tacoma World buds makes some nice videos. I realize he used a drone.. I like the music and the way he arranges the story.

I remember having a brief exposure with Premier on Windows with NT 4.0 was the thing. Challenges in those days were memory and more memory and a video card with a lot of memory... LOL. Add memory! It's cheaper than therapy.

It just takes a different kind of patience lol. Almost all of the editing I do is photo and some design, so I completely understand where you're coming from there. It's a totally different headspace with video, throw audio into the mix and it's even more so.

Steering rack from McGeorge arrived with holes all over the box and the aluminum mounting ear on the body was visible through a giant tear in the box. Can already tell from my spot in line at FedEx. Should’ve just spent $1000 locally.

I’ve made this a multiple month ordeal with my hopes and dreams of saving $500 lol.

Dude...thats' the second time now right? That Fedex has fucked it up prior to delivery.

I don't understand why the dealer won't pack it up better if this keeps happening lol. And Fedex should get an earful as well, that just ain't right.

I've done a mod or two
I'm still proficient in Sony Vegas even though no one really uses that anymore since Adobe owns the world and Final Cut sneaks in sometimes to help Adobe crank their hog.

If I ever get out of the industry I'll never look at Adobe again if I can help it. As long as I have free access through my work email I'll continue being a slave, lol.

But for real, eventually I'll end up giving one of the competitor programs a try. I hear a couple are putting up a good fight to compete with Adobe.

I'm paying Adobe around $25 a month for something that I can't figure out what it is.. Oh.. I have an account with them. I use the hell out of Acrobat Pro at work and batch convert and combine files with bookmarks and all that..

It's been a long time but way back I could make Ventura Publisher do tricks. Ventura started out in Zerox PARC back in 1986.

    Acrobat Pro is still shit.
Then again so is Microsoft Office.

Don't even get me started on ERSI ArcMap.

I can't count the bugs on two hands with the latter.
How many millions of $$ does it take before they can hire a programmer that isn't still in diapers?

I still prefer Windows 7, Office 2007, Visio 2000, and Acrobat Pro X
