Welp, looks like you have gravy games for the first 3.

If Bryce Young plays as good as he did last Saturday, we'll be going to the national championship.

The earlier article posted made me think about the job where the wife and I met. In 1956 a large Western Electric (Omaha Works) manufacturing facility was built. At its height 7,700 people were employed there. It was the best job either one of us has had when we were hired in around 1998. I believe the most employed there during our time was around 4,000. Anyways we were both laid off on the same day in 2001. Eventually the entire factory closed and of course most lost their jobs but I think some of the seniors were able to relocate.
There were 3 different countries where the operations moved to.
One of the supervisor who came back from one of the new factories said that, over there, the workers are at their work station all but for one break and a lunch break, and if they weren't back in position at the buzzer they were out the door.
I seen so many other new hires would put in about 2-3 hours of work in a 8 hour day. These were entry level jobs paying $17.00 a hour back then. Jobs like folding a paper up, putting 2 bolts and 2 washers and 2 nuts in a bag and staple it shut. Tough work.
It was a good job for a good many people in time.

When did I realize I’d gotten old?
I’m sitting in Hooters with some friends, drinking beer, having some hot wings.
One of them asked me “Which one of these waitresses would you most like to get stuck in an elevator with?
I said “The one that knows how to fix an elevator.”

I've got one similar. That only thing it was missing was a field suture kit.
