I can't wait to get back out. It's been way too long. Though now we need to find something to sleep in since selling the RTT.

The weather was cool almost chilly highs were only like 70 each day with rain yesterday. We got back home (only an hour and a half away) and it was hot we couldn't believe the temp difference.

I've looked at those, and I've looked at the Whiteduck yurts, even debated another RTT, but at the end of the day I think we'll end up in a small-ish travel trailer of some kind.

Saw a bunch of them at ATR. I'd probably get a tent of some sort too for the boys. They are pretty sweet.

The boys have these pop-up Coleman tents that their air mattresses fit just about perfectly in. I don't think you saw them at Windrock, but they had them there.

It's all kinda just figuring out what works best for YOU. We all have different needs and desires. What works for one may be entirely wrong for another.

I can tell y'all this if you look in the 7th pic of the camping post there is a grey first gen Tundra. I can tell you that was the cleanest first gen Tundra I have ever seen.

Get with Matt (Copeland adventure on IG) he just got a really sweet trailer. Made in AL has AC kitchen in the back and he's got a really nice big awning. I think it'd be right up your alley

Not really. The money we saved for our year lasted 13 months. We decided we liked to travel so...... we bought a standard travel trailer we can live in and we are working temp gigd for a few months to earn more time traveling. Right now we're in Texas doing security guard service for an oil rig. The teardrop is in storage until we're ready to explore more. Every month we work nets a month of travel time

Sounds like a cool gig. I can completely understand getting the travel trailer. While the tear drop is super well equipped the TT has to be more comfortable staying in place for extendd times

Yup. That is the only purpose of the TT. We'll use it as a place to live for a month or two at a time while we work. Then we'll go swap for the teardrop and travel. I already found out how much better the teardrop is for rough roads, almost got the new TT stuck on a two track in a wildlife refuge in Oklahoma. But Being in Texas right now with daily temps over 100 makes the AC in the TT better than the teardrop. Lol
