Generally speaking thin layers of concrete that are exposed to the elements don't last long. The right way to fix both of those issues is remove, fix base, and replace concrete like you wanted and no competent concrete contractor would do patches in those shapes. I'd raise all of the hell you can with the GC but if they've been paid... well you know the rest.

Plenty of hell has been raised. He claims it looks the way it does because “the finishing touches were going to be done with the texturing process.” I don’t see how texturing would mask how awful that looks….I think he assumes I don’t know anything at all. I really didn’t know much at the beginning of this job, but I brought myself up to speed real quick after I started raising questions. It doesn’t take a genius to see that it doesn’t look right.

This Saturday I was eating dinner outside in downtown Little Rock and I saw a probably early 2000s Toyota Hilux pass by. Not sure I have ever seen one around here, it was left hand drive too which I thought was odd and had an Arkansas veteran license plate on it too. Pretty cool though, I wonder if it was a diesel.

Not what I wanted to find while prepping the truck for a big trip out west in less than a week. STMaxx's that I've ran down to 8/32nds so I guess replacement shoulda been a little while away, not the end of the world. Ordered some Wildpeak MT's 255/85 16 from the local Discount Tire on Saturday, supposedly should be at the store tomorrow morning but the follow up call from the store manager didn't fill me with confidence. Wish me luck. Plan B is to size down to 265/75 16, they got KO2's in stock and looks like STT Pro's in that size are only a day away.

My tires were scuffed up and scratched pretty bad from the Ozark trips I did but there was no damage too worrisome. After my most recent New Mexico trip the tires are toast. I do not plan to take the truck on a cross country wheeling trip until I put new shoes on it. There is cord showing in the sidewall of two of them which sucks because there is still decent tread on them. I probably had another 2 years left on the tires. Oh well, I'm going to try to scoop some ST Maxx 255/80/17 during a Christmas or black friday sale I think.

Welp my tire appointment is in 15 minutes, but the tires are in Iowa at the moment.

I bought my Coopers from Discount online, had an appointment a couple weeks later, dropped off my truck, and was eating lunch with the friend who picked me up when Discount called me saying my tires weren't in yet. Even after being perplexed about why they took my truck, they tried to get me to get KO2s or whatever Wranglers they had in stock. The manager was nice though and understood me when I told him if I wanted whatever they had in stock, I wouldn't have ordered online....:der:

Made sense in my mind. Pouring over the forums deciding on a tire doesn't leave a lot of "oh, well, whatever you got" in a my mindset. If one of the locally-owned tire places in town carried Coopers, I would've bought them there. Especially after that fiasco.

Yeah I'm mentally prepared to go with the KO2's they have in stock if the tires I ordered don't show up in time. If they are good enough for @TenBeers and Andrew St Pierre White I guess they'd be fine for me.

Gotta say, my experience with Discount wasn't grand either. I ended up paying to have my new ones balanced correctly. Their technicians are young and don't have a lot of experience.

Anybody need a set of wheels and tires? Don’t want to give them away, but it’d be nice to get them out of the garage.

2017 TRD off road wheels, 265/75/16 Toyo open country AT3s, ab 30k miles. Make me an offer…….

I really like the KO2. I have eight of them right now, but they are pretty messed up on the Tacoma from the abuse I’ve put them through. I would have no problem getting another set of them on my Tundra when these wear out, but I want something more aggressive for the Tacoma since I don’t drive it much anymore.

Love to see that again. I tried to shoot one yesterday but I took too long to line up my shot and slowly squeeze the trigger…..1…..2….3…..safety was on and he walked into the brush. Lol

Got the call yesterday that the Wildpeak MT's I ordered showed up. I really wanted to try the Toyo MT's in this size when my Maxx's wore out these will do.
