IIRC you cut off the front cross member and bolt in their new one Lowering your control arm mounts to achieve the 6” of lift with zero ground clearance gained.

The SB mount loads, stock or as modded here, should only be tension / compression along the bolts, but you're on target here.

I'd run stiffer springs up front and toss that sway bar out!

Proper repair would be a new frame or welding in nutserts.

    Like, so many.
I'm just having a hard time imagining a dealership doing this. I also cannot even fathom what the mark up was.

Right, seems like a lot of liability there. Especially if they are committing to the warranty.

Thats not so much a rust issue there, its that the extension put so much leverage on the frame mount area that the metal cracked and pulled out the weld nuts.

OP, Your fix here is going to be to have a shop box that area, put actual weld nuts into a heavy gauge plate and weld it over the stock mounts, then treat with rust proofing.

I would probably just toss the sway bar. Proper fix would be to cut out the rust area and weld in a new plate with some higher gauge steel. And you better do both sides.

Isn't the second picture of the front of the truck? You can see the 4wd axle right there, no?

Thats the tie rod. I don't think I see a front diff. The area where the front diff mounts to in the front is empty.

The 6" kits do have a taller spindle, both for 2wd and 4wd.

if it was bought from the dealer clean that truck up and bring it back to them. Usually any dealer equipped or installed setup is warrantied by them.
