no idea but good luck. F1 TV only has the race weekends available on that weekend if you have the Pro subscription. i have the basic one and they don't publish the races during the weekend, only after.

A quick question as a very casual viewer. Why would MB bring on Russell? His finishes have been deplorable in Williams. Is equipment that big of a factor?

He would have beat Lewis had MB not f'ed up his last sub race. Long term though it's hard to tell how he will fare. Red Bull is still looking for a second driver as good as Max. Don't know if they will get one for a while. Most seem to choke and can't handle the expectations of Red Bull.

Russell is a Mercedes sponsored driver that was placed with a Mercedes powered customer team (Williams) to gain experience , he has actually outperformed the capabilities of the car he is driving . In F1 you can really only finish in the top 10 if you are in one of the better teams unless some weird shit happens in the race

ie : last race , the drivers finishing 1st to 3rd had actually lapped everybody else

Russel has been over performing for his Williams car. Williams Team has a great past history, but has suffered funding and other issues in recent past and is now on an upswing with good management and better budget. Williams cars have a long way to go in order to be competitive with Mercedes and Red Bull and some others.
For MB, having Hamilton, the Tom Brady of F1 and a talented young rising star in Russel to gain finesse for a great future, is the best of all worlds.
Russel grew up in the Mercedes Junior Driver program, so he's been on this trajectory for years.

I'm hoping that Checo will soon find his groove and limit the bad incidents. The way he climbs out of the holes he winds up in is incredible.

I don't understand the sprints. Can anyone explain how they work in F1?

Maybe it will be better in Monza but it didn't make it more exciting for me at all... click on the Watch on YouTube link in the box.

I was not a fan of the last sprint. Kinda boring and the grid outcomes were known well in advance of the 'race' finish.

all done, our life apparently fits in a 7x7x4 box, considering we landed on this island with 5 suitcases I think we’ve accumulated a fair amount of stuff in 7 years. No furniture.

Sprint races just give me anxiety. I don't really care for it at all.

I agree and the commentators were over the top trying to make it sound exciting. Not sure what they were watching.....or smoking....

if Alonso is excited for a sprint race then i'm wanting to see him have some fun. but pretty much just that. after Silverstone i didn't have a good opinion of the sprint race weekend.
