Thanks for the feedback, I didn't plan on going the Dodge route although they do look the best.

I don't tow anything substantial, dirt bikes and the occasional 6x10 is about it.

My 2017 GMC 3/4 has around 65 K miles, I’ve had zero issues, gasser though, 12 mpg empty. I do tow.

Nothing wrong with GM, but I have narrowed down my choices.

My dad has a ‘21 Silverado and I’ve been able to drive it quite a bit. It’s a great truck, very powerful and good mpg. It’s been awhile since I’ve owned a full size so maybe I’m just not used to it but I prefer the way the Tacoma drives.

I had a 2019 Tundra for about 6 months, but didn't need the size or capabilities, so I traded for another Tacoma. I liked the truck a lot. It was comfortable, smooth, and just a solid truck. As much as I loved the 5.7, it was crazy thirsty and the truck was just huge, like all current full-size trucks. If I was going to trade for a full-size today, I would be cross shopping the Tundra and a GMC Sierra AT4.

Full sized trucks are massive... hopefully, the new Tundra does not follow the pattern.

My Tundra has been flawless and drives better/feels less cheap. Just my .02

I bet you’d love the powerwagon. It’s a 2500 gasser. It can tow up to 10k-ish, front and rear lockers, fits 37s stock, and fun as hell offroad. Just take off all the stickers. :)

The Tacoma fits in my garage which is a must for me! Otherwise, it would have been the Trail Boss.

It depends. I went from a 2018 Tundra TRD Sport to the 21 Taco TRD Pro because I do not need the towing capability the Tundra gave me. So, if you like paying for the truck once and no costs to keep it on the road, go with a Tundra. Just don't get trapped into the first year treadmill and wait till 23 versions where they will work out the bugs. If you like sparkly things that turn to trash after 36K miles, get a MOPAR. Just dump it before it loses all of it's resale value. Ford F 150 may be the only way to go. Sierra's and Silverado's are better had after someone has driven them off the showroom floor (and dropped the value to nearly half). You don't pay full retail and you may get to 60K miles without dropping a wad of cash to keep it on the road.

2021 Tundra's are out there. You are going to pay for the lack of fuel economy, but you will stick the key (or push the button) for the next 20 years without guessing if it will start.

If they ever built that same truck again except with a 300 hp v6 that gets the 23 mpg my current taco gets....i'd be all over it.

I have a 2021 F150 on order... We just picked up a new camper with a 4000lb dry weight and after towing it home from the dealer I know the Tacoma won't be happy on long trips in the mountains. Check out my for sale thread on here for my Tacoma!

About the garage issue.... well I finally got permission from my city to build a 30'x15' garage with a 9' tall door so no issues there!
